This a place to put your RPG ideas out there and to get constructive feedback. There will be no bashing or insulting here. Any problems can be taken up with me or the other Mods/Admins. Be nice and let your creative juices flow! You can post to see who will join and if it'll be a good idea to post, or to try and make something with another user. My ideas are something to deal with Pokemon, though there would be strcit rules about being a god mod and having certain types... Another one is about having an angel/demon high school plot...though it seems high school plots are being done a lot as of now. So maybe college...? Anyone else have ideas or input? I like both of the ideas. It would be easier to do the angels and demons one but I think it'd end up just being a run on. I think the pokemon would be a good one. Have gym leaders and competitors and those types of things. |

Well I can do either, but I'm not too into the whole angel/demon thing, but I'm interested. As for the pokemon one, I hadn't thought about having Gym leaders, as much as maybe simple trainers and maybe an orginization like Team Rocket or Team Gallatic or w/e. Though I think we'd have to have a set region, or let all four be used or known...And of course no legendaries or super pokemon...and I wouldn't even want their to be 'levels'. |

I agree. The only reason I thought of gym leaders was for their to be a challenge. I dunno I guess that would eventually more or less end the rpg if someone beat all of them. So yeah can we have a Team Rocket? I hate team Gallactic honestly. |

Yeah the one of each sounds good. But the classic team rocket members were Jesse, James, Butch, and Cassidy. That's only four and any other team rocket members were just out there. Nobody ever really paid attention to them. |

Oh yeah of course the boss. And yeah I just meant that if more than five people join they'd have to be made up team rocket people. which I guess wouldn't be so bad. So far it seems like it'd work out. We'd just need people to join it. |

Well I would have monitor who joins and all and the characters because this could get oout of hand very easily. And I'd rather us not focus on fighting as much as the people....less actiony you know? |

Yeah the more action there gets and the more people the more god modding becomes an issue. More or less just focusing on the relationships of people and their pokemon. |

Yeah that way there's more storyline without a gazillion people. And I take it you're thinking each person have 1 beginner, 1 experienced, and 1 team rocket? |

I'd say the classic 150, maybe have it take place in Kanto, keep it old school? Even though I don't like their starter pokemon...it'd be in another character. XD So I'm excited, should I post it now? Or maybe it's the meds talking...lol |

I have an idea but it needs a bit of help. First off, I know the non-human high school thing has been used a lot, but I enjoy the idea of this. This is based off of a story I made a while ago. Note I made it a while ago, so the paragraph may not be great. The story was about a pheonix so it speaks about that a lot more. Have you heard about the fabled bird the phoenix? The birds whom after death rise again from their ashes? They are truly fiery shape shifters that usually take the form of a bird or human. Alike all creatures, mana flows through their body, yet unlike the humans, all phoenixes are aware of this. Many things such as this “ fictional bird ” used to live in the world which we all know. They were all forced out, when the humans attempted to kill them all because they were different. Many creatures live along side us in the guise of a human, as they are nearly forgotten by the racists. The phoenixes fled to another realm along with a few more creatures, where they currently live in peace.............................................................................................. Or do they? The story was around the a pheonix kid who's dimension is attacked and he misteriously appears in the human world and has to act like a human highschooler. I think this could work as a rp if it would be broadened. Maybe have 4-5 non humans and 5-6 humans...? I'm not sure and need a bit of brainstorming... Edited by Pikaman, Apr 4 2009, 05:56 PM.

No, it is different mythical races, I just adapted pheonixes into a race. They don't seek help as much as some of them just went to teh first place they could. The races attempt to hide and blend in society. People could be different versions of elves, dwarves, humans, and other such races. |

Well the orginization of humans tries to. Most humans don't know a thing about it. Another thing, although most of the people would more than likely be students, I would be open to allowing them to be average civilians or whatever. |

Mhmm. Well it seems pretty refreshing. One a side note, this remind me of a book called Uglies (it's the first of a series) where at a certain age kids are turning into 'pretty' people when really they look fine and average. Like everyday people but the operation makes them look like models and until then they are called 'ugly'. So off in the distant area is a civilization of kids who ran away before this because the place that made them pretty was a utopia that they hated. So the government sends out people to retive these runaways and bring them back to brain wash them and all. Oh well just a thought. |

Oh, on a side note, where would be a good place on earth to place the high school? I was just thinking of making it anime/manga style and making it in Japan... I don't know any cities in Japan either... Any ideas...? |

Japan is uaully where everyone has it. It could be in Kyoto or on Okinawa, someplace less frantic like Tokyo maybe. Or Nagasaki...you can look it up online. |

Putting these ideas together. IGPX - mechas battling like cars on a roadway Absolute Boyfriend - people ordering perfect bf's/gf's Alice 19'th - Dealing with dark and light warriors and words Fruits Basket - transforming into the zodica around the opposite sex The West Wing - dealing with the president and stuff OUran Host Club - dealing with guys and girls high school romance of hitred love Spiral - dealing with kids who are all secretive Fullmetal Alchemist - alchemy and the state troubles These are all ideas or concepts that can be made in RPG's. These are just brainstorming so we can pull ideas but make the RP better for groups. So any takers thus far? And there is the Aquarian Age rpg that needs people. I really like the Fruits Basket, FMA, Absolute Boyfriend and Ouran ideas... I'd participate in thoooose! :3 So I was thinking of some original ideas, a vampire academy (just 'cos I like school themed RPGs) or a zombie survival one, 'cos I like guns and stuff. :3 *Texan* Ahaha. I personally wouldn't join another school themed rpg espically with vamps...I think danny would. Nor would I join a zombie one but I think this weekend I might start an Ouran one then... Well depends for which anime(I mention ABF and ouran)...and there can always be an option of orginal and 'cannon' allowed, I will probably not particpate if there is a mix because mary sues will always happen. And it's not worth it to me to have players do it. (has had bad experince with doing a mix unless it was strictly one on one rp'ing) EDIT: The more I think about we hardly have enough for a FB RP and FMA will have some people who will probably god mode... Anyway if you wanna use orginal cast start your own rp and see what happens, i am off to bed and will check back on this little thread in about....7-8 hours. Well I have an idea. Honestly I don't like all plotted out rp's anymore. The best rp I ever had was with Hi Youkai on the old ac and we just played it out and went along with it. I'm also not so much for causes in my rps haha I was thinking of something along the lines of nekos, fox people, animal people ect that maybe had transforming abilities and are just hanging out in life lol maybe more of a casual life roleplay with school or work or something. Maybe there could be no plot and anything could happen. Relationships, doing stupid stuff, a regular baka land rp lol |

Heres a simple idea it takes place on a pregunpowder battle field either in china or japan depending on the weapons chosen/classes etc. simple colors for the factions red/black/blue/white/ depending on the amount joining or if its just a small amount of people limit it to duels between the officers (if youve played a koei game youd get this one quickly) I'm thinking of having each person limited to 2 weapons a main arm and sidearm (armor is not a weapon) this could have to do with samurai/samurai/ninja or however people decided but if ninja are involved they can use the spoiler tag to hide their movements but when they attack it is in open view ^.^ So far the weapons I've spotted to make good examples are katana/tanto/naginata/yumi/shuriken (starred & pin)/blowgun/sai/chained kama/double weighted chains/black eggs/monk spade/monkey king staff(steel)/bo(wood)/chain whip/rope dart/japanese war club (large pole with heavy end covered in steel balls)/ caltrops/ absolutely no idea how it could take to rp but its an idea and it would also have to see what weapon beats which under which circumstances and no telling how long campaigns with samurai armies might last? |
