We had one for favourite movie/TV show, so why not novels? I know we've probably read more fantasy then watched, I know I have! My favourite novel is probably Stephen King's Eye of the Dragon, even if it is more horror then fantasy. I also like The Hobbit, and hope it becomes a great movie; I have my hopes invested in it! There are about a million others, so many books! What about everyone else? I want to try and expand my reading. |

I love anything by the Eddings and I enjoy reading Terry Goodkind. My favourite novel is probably Confessor by Terry Goodkind, but you're right: there are so many! Picking one or even a few seems like a mortal sin, .

I read loads, and fantasy is my favourite genre, so choosing one novel as a favourite is hard for me xD Weirdly, I prefer books aimed at children/teens when it comes to fantasy though. They seem to have more imagination involved. I love the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, The Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan, Anthony Horowitz's Power of Five books, and loads of other things. If I had to choose, I would probably go for Garth Nix's Lirael. I didn't enjoy Sabriel, its predecessor, or Abhorsen, the sequel, as much though. In Lirael I found it easier to relate to the characters. |
