To get into the theme of things, lets talk about our favourite fantasy movies and tv shows ^^. See what we have in common, or maybe learn of new fantasy movies and tv shows. I think my all time favourite fantasy/cult show must be Xena: Warrior Princess. I love this show when I was a kid, when I was about 10 years old. Not all the seasons were broadcasted here, but at the time I didn't really know about series having seasons XD. With my friend we always talked about the show and played out those scenes with our barbies, fun times. It's awesome to see the show again now when I'm older, it's part childhood memory, but I can understand everything better now too. I'm planning on buying all seasons on DVD, but so far downloaded them (jup poor student), and am now in season six. Got the first season on DVD though. For my favourite fantasy movie, I think that's a hard one really. There are so many fantasy type movies I like. But like a lot of people, LotR scores very highly on the scale ^^. I just think that the film industry should make more fantasy related movies lol. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of fantasy movies I've seen :P, but might remind again after others post about their favourite stuff in here. |

Aha, fantasy movies and TV shows. If we're including Sci-Fis for the TV show, I'd definitely say Farscape. Though, to be honest, I never had really had the dedication to watch TV series', Farscape I enjoyed enough to actually watch. If not Sci-Fi, I can't actually think of any fantasy TV shows I watched, I honestly cannot. I might think of one later. As for movie, I very much liked Labyrinth, Ladyhawke and Van Helsing; though I don't watch nearly enough fantasy movies these days. But, like you ShinLi, I really think we need more good fantasy movies. Not that I don't like movies like 21, Sex and the City and the like, but I need a really good fantasy movie to come out. Note that two of my three top fantasy movies can basically only be bought on VHS... so that says something about how long it's been since a fantasy movie I really liked came out. I did like LOTR, but not as much as everyone else seems to, but I'm definitely looking forward to The Hobbit. That was my favorite book. |

Owh yeh me too, I'll be curious what they'll make of the Hobbit. Owh Sci-fi XD, I have a huge list of sci-fi series that I am watching/have watched lol. I liked Farscape too, haven't finished the last season though. Firefly, Star Trek, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who are all amongst my favourites. More good sci-fi/fantasy movies/ tv-shows should be made. |

*drools at the mention of Battlestar Galactica* That's probably the only piece of Sci Fi media I've ever enjoyed watching. That Tricia Helfer is a hot mama, ain't she? |

My favorite fantasy movie is a tie between the 10th Kingdom and Pirates of the Carribean. Both involving traveling, open spaces, and rogueish guys. Naturally for that reason I liked Firefly when it was on. |
