Administrator Posts: 57 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Mar 17, 2008	I've decided to type up this topic so that members and prospective members and or interested guests know what AG is all about. What we staff mean to do with it in the future as it grows, and what our vision of AG is. Ancient Greece has been thought up by ShinLi, and afterwards Andy got involved with the creation process. The both of us like fantasy, and liked tv-series like 'Hercules: The Legendary Journies' and 'Xena: Warrior Princess'. This RPG is based on those series, but is not limited to them at all, and those series were used rather as a reference. We also referenced back to information we could find about life in the times of ancient Greece. And we also decided to include races/groups like the Centaurs and Amazons. And add Gods and demi-gods to link back to the mythological side of Ancient Greece. Our intend is thus to create a mix of myths, legends and fantasy set in Ancient Greece. There is a lot of freedom in this RPG, and originality is a big thing. We've also decided that we wanted AG to be a very member-driven RPG. This means that we, as staff, have decided not to create pre-made plots and subplots. But rather let the members create their own plots, as this allows much more freedom. This member-driven development can be seen back in forums like the 'RP Essentials' catagory. In here members can open up topics with their own suggestions for board wide plots, events, or even ideas for a small group of people/race/kingdom etc. Also suggestions for new RP forums can be given at any time, as this is also a way to develop our RPG. Further members are free to request forums for their own dwelling, shop, tavern, village etc. etc. Smaller suggestions like houses and taverns will be made asap. Although requests for entire new villages, cities or lands will be taken in consideration and discussed with other members. As our RPG forum is hosted on Zetaboards, it's easy to add minor forums like houses/dwellings and taverns as Zetaboards has an unlimited subforum feature. Which allows much more freedom in the creation of an RP catagory layout. As for the future, as you can read above, it all depends on what the members come up with, what they suggest, and what plots evolve. The staff is here to lead everything into proper directions, help out with problems, jump in with their own suggestions and see if all rules are followed by everyone. But we'll stick around, and hope to see this forum grow into something beautiful with the help of our members! ~AG Staff Team
