It wasn’t a daily occurrence that the ebony assassin made small talk with her sister Crystal, but on this occasion Ester was being nice. She was making the effort—perhaps because of the upcoming Holiday season—to reach out to interact with the Rose Girl. Either that or she was just being nice to her because they had to tag team at Dangerzone. Crystal Of course. Looking forward to it. Ester You bringing Brittney? Crystal lit up. Of course she was bringing her daughter—but it was still nice to hear Ester actual speak her name. Crystal Yeah… Ester Not bringin’… Crystal Nah. Don’t think so… A smile lit Ester’s face. Ester …good. Crystal smiled politely. She knew Ester never did approve of her husband Todd. The two have had a long and rocky relationship and from the start Ester never approved of the Primetimer. Todd had a cockyness about him that did not rub off well on Ester. Crystal knew it was always a sourse of friction between the family, so perhaps it was a good thing that Todd had other commitment this Holiday season. It would be the first time in many years when it was just Crystal and her two sisters—as well as the other original Hilton family members her brother Mike and mother Cookie—that were gathered around the dinner table. It had the making of a Thanksgiving dinner like none in a long time. Crystal So how is Cookie these days? I haven’t spoken to her in a while… Ester furrowed her brow slightly, an expression contorting her lips as if she just sucked on a lemon. Ester Well…your Mother…is doing ok. Crystal did her best to ignore Ester’s reaction, quickly switching gears as she tried to keep the conversation on a friendly basis. Crystal Whats the deal with Nadia and Cherrie? That big ass Russian really seems to have it in for her? Ester nodded in agreement, shrugging indifferently as she slid her hands into her coat jacket. It was the first signal that the talking was nearly done—Ester would be leaving shortly. Ester Long ass story… Crystal I got plenty of time… A hint of a smile again lit Ester’s face. She pulled out the keys to her Chrysler and glanced out the window towards the driveway. A powder of snow was building on the windshield as the first snow fall of the season had started. The ride to Pontiac to their mom’s house was at least two hours and the snow was starting to come down heavy. Ester Well then let her tell you. Crystal sighed in resignation. So much for bonding time with her long lost sister. Ester started towards the door, tossing the key in her hand as she pulled open the outside. Crystal could drive to Pontiac later that evening herself…but it would be dull. The Rose girl shot a glance back at Ester, who was surprisingly still waiting in the doorway. Ester You comin’ or what? Crystal eyes opened wide in surprise. Ester We gotta go to Cherrie’s place and pick her up…figured the three of us could do the drive this year…you can ask Cherrie all about that crazy ass Russian nut and we can make plans for our tag team match… A broad grin washed over Crystal’s face. She grabbed her black Prada purse and quickly followed her big sister out the door. A road trip for the Hilton girls—now this was going to be a Holiday to remember.
