The ACW top brass was on hand at a press conference early Wednesday morning to announce further details in the formation of the new federation. The owner, Martin Frisconelli, was joined by Makosi Makini, a former wrestling star and now owner of the Vixens of Boxing promotion. Mr. Frisconelli explained that the ACW was going to be working in conjunction with theVixens of Boxing promotions, joining forces so that both promotions would have a better chance at success. The two would be sharing the massive building, this cutting expenses and streamlining operations. He also mentioned that a third federation—the old IWA promotion---would be involved in the process. The IWA was a widely successful promotion that was involved in a disasterous member several years back. There had been several attempts to restart this once proud franchise—all of which ended in failure. Mr. Frisconelli stated that the IWA project would be “one that would compliment the other federations at the start.” And that he “felt good about its long term chance of success.” |
