The ACW top brass was on hand at a press conference early Thursday morning. The new promotion has announced it has aquired the old IWA wrestling promotion in Union City New Jersey. The IWA building, vacant for much of the last three years, had been purchased at auction and is currently undergoing renovations as the ACW prepares for the first phase of its operations. At the press conference the fans got a chance to meet three of the primary members of the ACW organization. Chip Carson ![]() Chip Carson is a long time wrestling reporter for numerous newspapers and magazines. He has been hired as the first ever General Manager for the ACW. Mr. Carson holds a degree in both sports business management and journalism from the University of Massachusetts. He has also been described as ruthless, mean spirited and a womanizer. Dr. Cherrie Hilton ![]() Dr. Cherrie Hilton holds a PHD from the University of Michegan, where she was a standout basketball and track star. Ms. Hilton earned her degree on an athletic scholarship. Hilton is also the sister of Mike the Hammer Hilton, long time wrestling superstar and right hand man of Martin Frisconelli. The ACW also announced the hiring of the following talent at the press conference. The following broadcasters and interviewers have been hired to fill roles for upcoming ACW programming. Buzz Wobley ![]() Buzz Wobley is a former wrestling star who will bring his expertise to the broadcast booth. Mr. Wobley will perform the play by play broadcasting duties for all upcoming cards and PPVs. Ernie Witt ![]() Ernie Witt is a long time sports reporter who will join Buzz in the broadcast booth. Although primarily known as a football writer Mr. Witt is also well seasoned to call the in ring action. Ernie Witt was the former broadcaster for the now defunct KNOCKOUTS OF WRESTLING promotion. Darnel Jackson ![]() Darnel Jackson has long been a fixture in Professional wrestling circles. Mr. Jackson is perhaps most well known from his days as lead interviewer in the IWA. He resumes those duties here in the ACW. Jen Barrett ![]() Jen Barrett is a former interviewer for both the KNOCKOUTS of WRESTLING and the VIXENS of WRESTLING. She will continue those duties here in the ACW as well. Mike Ratski ![]() Mike Ratski is an IWA original.
