Paul stands up as he says, “I’ll be back in a minute. Nature calls..”

Ratski nods his head and Paul walks off-camera. As Ratski sits alone he looks around himself, taking in the scenery. As his head comes to rest again, he nods it in approval of the style of the cafe. Suddenly, from behind, we see the café door swing open. In walks the ACW Women’s Champion, Athena…

Athena walks into the café, glancing around, looking for somebody. Suddenly her eyes fix on the ACW staff member, Mike Ratski. She walks over to him, a grim look on her face. She is wearing casual clothing and no make-up (although she still looks stunning).

“What the hell are you doing here?” Athena asks, harshly.

Mike Ratski looks around, bemused. “Sorry?...Oh, Athena…what a coincidence…”

“You know you annoy me. What are you doing in my regular?”

“I don’t know.” Ratski started. “I didn’t know it was your reg-”

“Shut it! Not only are you in my regular, you’re in my seat. I’m supposed to be meeting a friend here. Move it before I rip you a new-”

At this point Paul James appears from the toilet, and in the nick of time. “Whoa! Athena! Don’t kill him.” Paul James sits down next to Mike Ratski and continues to speak. “This is a test. I promised that I’d get people to like you. The fans like wrestlers who are tolerant. Mike Ratski is a nice guy but he bugs you for some reason. That’s fair enough. He annoys me sometimes, too.”

Mike Ratski: “Wait a minute, I-”

“But after a while you learn to like people for what they are.” Paul cuts in. “You just need to give Ratski a chance. Your first test is not to beat Mike Ratski to a bloody pulp.”

“I didn’t agree to thi-” But Ratski is cut off.

“Shut it!” Athena shouts, and then to Paul James: “I’ll give it a shot, but I’m making no promises.” She sits down and there is an uncomfortable silence. After a moment a waitress delivers a pot of tea to the tables and puts down three mugs.

Mike Ratski grabs a few sachets of sugar and holds them out, offering some to Athena and Paul James.

Paul James shakes his head to say he doesn’t want sugar. Ratski turns his concentration to his tea for a moment. He puts the teaspoon in the cup, a couple of bubbles rising to the surface as the spoon sinks down to the bottom of the cup. Mike gets the majority of the sugar sachet in one hand, and using the other hand, rips the top off along the line. Athena watches on as Mike Ratski expertly pours the sugar in a bit at a time, stirring with the spoon non-stop as he pours. The sugar turns brown on hitting the surface of the tea, and swirls around and quickly breaks down as the spoon stirs it into the hot liquid. Ratski throws the now empty sachet on the table along with the full sachets. He picks up another sachet, and proceeds to go through the same routine that he did with the first sachet.

“IT’S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!” Athena blurts out. “Just put the God damn sugar into the tea.”

“Well done, Athena.” Paul James said. “You lasted a long time before getting annoyed. The fans will appreciate that sort of patience. You also refrained from beating him up. If you show that kind of patience in your title defence against Comrade Nadia, it could very well help you performance.”

“Okay, fine, but I’ve got to go. His face is annoying me SO much!” Athena gets upand walks out of the café, leaving Ratski and Paul James alone.

Mike Ratski: “You could have told me about this.”

Paul James: “You’ve got to work on that annoyingness, Mike.”

Paul James gets up and leaves too, leaving Ratski at the table on his own.

Nice stuff. I like the concept here. It has a lot of potential. Athena making an attempt to at least try to connect with the fans--although she's not exactly what you would call a people person lol. Nicely written with plenty of description and details.

Yeah, Athena would make a good fan favourite...who doesn't actually like her fans lol.
