Out into the wild darkness; A rather fond memory of what I get dragged into.

Blood's pumpin, body's movin, heart's racin...
Oh yeah, the rave was something new for me.
Normally I refrain from doing anything that involves social interaction with complete strangers. I don't know what they're like, don't want to make myself a fool, oh god she's cute what do I say, and all that jazz.
But, when my music is playing to a different beat, stepping away from the jazz and into the dark room of neon lights, fast beats, good music, and amazing people not giving a rightful darn how you dance but rather that you simply -do-, the world opens up and you're free to go wild.
My friend (admittedly a bit inebriated) convinced me to go to the rave at A&G 2011. On Saturday night through Sunday morning. Of course, I had my doubts on having fun since it was a small con. Of course I made excuses 'I don't know how to dance.' and the like. But man when I started dancing and just enjoying the music, I truly enjoyed myself. I danced with strangers, I was loud(er than normal, heh), and I just had fun. Granted, I saw several lovely gals in there (never had the courage to talk to or dance with for longer than two minutes), I suppose it's baby steps for a while.
Definitely look forward to raves at future cons but I will always remember this one.
Anyone else care to share their rave stories?

I skipped out on last year's rave activities but went to both of them this year. I also normally don't really get into that kind of stuff, but I figured this year 'why the hell not?' When it comes down to it this stuff is just all about having fun.

Absolutely correct, my dear Maes! That's what cons are about! Getting together with other people who share similar interests and having a blast!

I had a chance to go to my first rave at Ohayocon in 2010. I opted it out. I was in last year's rave at a and g for literally 10 minutes. This year, I was in AandG's second rave from the moment for about 3 hours straight, only stopping to dance for a cig and to drink water. Needless to say I was sweating and I thought I would die. But I had a blast, and it was well worth it.

I'm glad to see people enjoyed the rave! I was the opening DJ, and it was definitely packed full of people that looked to be having a blast.
