what has always bothered me is that in spite of how awesome technology is..and how rapidly it is advancing....there's always the chance some ***hole will set off a nuke in our atmosphere (EMP) and send us hurtling backwards into the age of oil lamps and snake-oil salesmen...
I really hope I'm wrong though... Between the biological side of things (genetics, biotechnology...etc) and the technological (surgical techniques, pharmaceuticals...)... we're on the bleeding edge of the best humanity has to offer.. the future spreads before us...endless possibilities...
It just... kills me that there's a chance we're going to miss out on it...so much potential lost.
I'm rambling.. happens when you get old..
