Okay so I figured since everybody likes to talk about their favorite games. Why not give some people a chance to vent and talk about the games that they hate the most? So just post the worst game(s) that you've ever played and let us know why it was so bad!!! I'll start..... Resident Evil 5: Well I didn't think Capcom could do any worse than Resident Evil 4, but they did! They kept the annoying camera angle that completely took away the survival horror feel to the series. Also the characters you fought in the game were complete copies of the Resident Evil 4 characters. The music in the game was very bland as it was in 4. You never got that eerie feeling that you would get in the first games when you were walking around. But the part that I hated the Most about 4/5, was the puzzles..... In 4 they dumbed down the puzzles so that 8 yr olds could solve them with ease. And completely eliminated the puzzles overall in 5. Resident Evil is no longer Resident Evil sadly..... It's just a giant heaping bowl of Fail.... Final Fantasy VII: Well I don't hate it as much as I am sick with it. Once you've tied the world record speed for beating Emerald Weapon what else is there to do? Well lets see...... nothing..... The game itself was almost an exact replica of FFVI, just with some name changes (and sex changes). The story that they had in place never fully explained everything throught the game, it just really left most everything implied, which was quite annoying to me. The game is mostly popular due to Fangirls/Fanboys obsessing over the game's 3 Emo characters, being Cloud, Sephiroth, and of course... Vincent. And the final reason I don't enjoy this game so much, is it's fame overshadows the much better final fantasy games of FF VIII, and FF IX. It's an unfortunate truth.... The next person can gladly critique my points, everyone deserves an opinion, and deserves the right to a fair argument. |

You just trollin' man. The worst game for me would have to be Halo 3. As if the first two weren't enough, they needed to make another cash cow to milk this drying dairy queen. Three has to be one of the most overplayed piles of junk out there. Almost no new introductions to the series were made, and you couldn't even get the best part out of that game unless you had Xbox Live. I can't honestly say how it revolutionized first person shooters. They were the same before, and pretty much the same after Halo's release. And you have to admit, I think that's the reason why we all detest small children now. I never used to mind them until I met a few in lone wolf. |

Well Halo has always been terrible. I thought that was understood XD. Other than the Condemned Series, First Person Shooters should stay Strictly on PC, they are pretty terrible otherwise(Except for House of the dead, that's great for Arcade XD) |

FF7 isn't even the best final Fantasy let alone the best RPG. It's just the most famous. Like I said, all of the major Plot points and major Characters were interchangeable with FF6. FF9 was far superior. Zidane FTW |

Who could ever forget House of the Dead 2!? A game that looked that shitty and the voice acting is the most hilarious thing ever. Everytime I hear "Suffer like G did." I can't stop laughing. Also Shaq Fu for the Sega Genesis, it's a 2-D fighter where Shaq fights against demons, mummys and Set. Its painful to watch. |

Why you hatin on Street Fighter 2010? That game was awesome, except the fact they pretended in the US it was part of the actual Street Fighter series. Also old Disney games like Aladdin were pretty good adventure games for their time, no idea if they make games anymore really though. My vote for the worst game ever is Sonic The Hedgehog for ps3 and 360. It's just horrible, nothing much else to say. I got it for free and gave it away again for free. edit: ugh after watching the opening 'story' of sf 2010 i'm kind of insulted they made it seem like it was ken for street fighter. After having combed through several bargain bins, here are my own lesser-known titles I'd like to contribute that really are terrible, and not just popularly bashed: Urban Chaos (PC, Dreamcast) This is not the SWAT-style game most people remember. Instead, it's a game where you follow a lady cop named D'arci Stern as she runs around the city streets fighting crime. Oh yeah, and there's some plot about the world ending but that doesn't show up until you're more than 70% done with the game outside of generic thugs screaming "DUH WOILD'S GONNA END!" now and then. The game essentially plays like Tomb Raider, except it has a framerate that continually dips into single digits, its controls are somehow even worse (you have to hold up on the D-pad and move the joystick forward to walk), and the camera frequently spins around at the worst times, making the first-person movement controls seems even worse than they already were. Combat is a joke. Let's say you have a gun. Good for you! The bad news is aiming is done automatically, so you'll end up targeting anything and everything around you seemingly at random; thugs, civilians, hostages you're supposed to rescue, cars that happen to drive by, even garbage cans. And good luck sneaking up on someone to shoot them because D'arci always yells "FREEZE!" when she targets anyone, making stealth all but useless. Even then stealth is pointless because you can run within thirty feet of an enemy that has a clear view of you and not get caught. Oh, but I forgot hand-to-hand combat! Aside from groups of thugs waiting for you to beat up and/or arrest everyone one at a time before attacking, the combo system is absolutely broken. It's supposed to be timing-based, but the timing doesn't work mroe than half of the time. That's okay, though, because holding forward and spamming punch will either end with you Hundred-Hand-Slapping the person to death or flipping them to the ground, where they will patiently wait for you to arrest them. I have a lot more I could say about this game, but I'm saving it for a video review. Iridium Runners (PS2) Remember the Track and Field games where you had to tap buttons to run/swim/power up for certain activities? This is that game. You run around a track collecting crystals which give you a speed boost by tapping X, and you absolutely need them to win races. The catch is, the races are anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes long. I am not joking. 20 minutes straight of tapping X. Add in that there aren't a lot of tracks, the racers have zero personality, the complete lack of a plot or any reason to actually race in the first place and this is a complete waste of time. Evergrace (PS2) One that I've reviewed in the past that, to this day, still pisses me off. It's one of the only times I've felt ripped off paying $3 for a game. It's an action RPG where every enemy in the game except for the last boss can be killed by either running around it and pounding its ass until it dies, or teabagging it against a wall. In fact, several of the bosses fall into the latter strategy. It's completely unnecessary to use magic outside of a couple of simple puzzles (or rather the ones that aren't broken. Somehow Fire magic doesn't work against Tree magic). The grind for levels is replaced by grinding for money, which is used to buy weapons, armor, and items as well as repair weapons and armor. Here's the funny part though: your weapons and armor will naturally break down. It's possible to just stand still and have all of your armor and your weapon break. Oh, and magic requires points taken from your armor and/or weapon to be used, making it break down faster. This isn't clever, it's just tedious. But hey, I can forgive a lot if it has a good story. The problem is more than half of the story is told THROUGH LOADING SCREENS. Even then the two characters you play as cause repeated time paradoxes in the storyline depending on who you play as first. Also, Shaq Fu wasn't that bad. Edited by Klepto, Nov 12 2009, 06:06 AM.
