So, it's all beginning. Your life has been started, right in the middle of Medelian City. It was time to begin your journey. You had your faithful sidekick, Stew, with you, but of course, he had to stay tucked away in the Pokelens for now. Medelian was close to the shores, where a fisherwoman like yourself could go and capture more Pokemon for your collection. There you stood, right outside the Pokemon Center. What were you going to do? Well, I'll tell you one thing. Across the way there was a little boy, about seven or so, playing with a little Poliwag. Well, the next thing that you saw was that an older boy, around twelve, came up and started talking down the the child. Well, that wasn't all that nice. I wonder what was going on over there in that neck of the woods. So, what exactly were you going to do? Go and find out what this child was doing, or go down to the beach and start your day off with a fishing trip! That was your decision now. It was all up to you what was going to happen. You decided your fate. |

Kiandra looked about, observing her surroundings. It was a sunny day, apparently, and the beach was right there in plain sight. A trip to the beach looked very appealing to Kiandra, she could possibly find some new Pokemon there. Although she was without a fishing rod, which she hoped to obtain eventually, she could still take a swim and look for some Pokemon in the water. Before heading toward the alluring ocean, she took another look around her and noticed a small child playing with a Pokemon. When she spotted the Pokemon, her Pokelens told her it was a Poliwag, but she already knew that as her father once had a Poliwag. The child and the Poliwag seemed very happy, until some older kid came along and started to yell at the child. That wasn't a very nice thing to do, but Kiandra felt there was no need to help out the little kid. That would just get her mixed up in all sorts of trouble, and if the older kid had a Pokemon on him he might challenge her to a battle. All she had on her was a weakling of a Magikarp, and the chance of her losing with it was high. So Kiandra decided to just ignore the two kids and head off to the beach. Kiandra left the Pokecenter headed towards the shore. She walked to there until she reached there, and when she did she looked about for a secure spot near the water. When she did, she put down her back pack on the sand in that spot, and then took off her sandals. Then she stripped down her clothes, having her bikini on underneath. She took out her underwater breather from her bag, then inserting in her mouth, closed her bag, then covering it with some clothes so no one would see it's full and take it. Running into the water, Kiandra felt the cool rush of it. She then dove underwater to search for Pokemon, her goggle effect chip letting her open her eyes to see through the blue. Swimming along, jolly as can be, Kiandra then remembered that she could now let Stew out. "Come out stew, there's water here." Kiandra managed to mumble out through the water, not sure if her Magikarp would understand her muffled words. Sure enough he did and so a red light emerged from Kiandra's Pokelens and took form in the shape of a Magikarp. It then faded into the colors of one, until it was Stew himself. "Hey there Stew." Kiandra said in a calming tone to her Pokemon while stroking his sides. Stew seemed delighted by the bubbles that came out of Kiandra's mouth when she talked rather than the words them self. He playfully bumped them as they rose to the surface, which was quite an amusing site. "Okay Stew, you're going to help me search for some Pokemon, got that?" Stew froze to a halt when he heard the word Pokemon, as he was never quite the social one. He then started to swim around frantically, circling his owner over and over. "Oh come on Stew, it won't be so bad, I have to have you battle to get you to be stronger, eventually strong enough to evolve. If you never battle you'll never become one of those ferocious Gyaradoses." Stew finally gave in, and took his place by his owner's side. "That's better, you shouldn't waste all your energy now, you'll need it for later." Kiandra said, Stew noding his head to show he understood. Edited by korychi, May 29 2009, 01:44 AM.

So, you were going to battle. Skipping the two trainers may have been the better decision. Magikarp can't do a whole lot with no attacks except things like charge and those attacks off of the global list. So, you sent him out and now he was going to help you with the searching of new Pokemon. That was what Pokemon were used for, right? Well, Stew knew what to do, and the ocean was a perfect place to try and find any Pokemon of the water type. So, you were in the right place, for sure. The water was perfect, a nice, warm 80 degrees. That was perfect for a nice swim. The two of you were in the water, and it was a good place to be. You explained to Stew what you wanted from him, and he was ready to do whatever needed in order to find the right Pokemon for you. He was a good Magikarp, he just needed a mini push in the right direction. So, you told him that you needed some Pokemon, and the two of you were swimming. Well, that was good. For some reason the ocean was very bland right now. Nothing in sight whatsoever. You swam for about a half hour before you actually caught eye of something. Something glimmering on the ocean floor. Magikarp, too, saw this glimmer, and the two of you stopped to watch, for it was moving. Suddenly, a Staryu came blasting forth from the place of his (for RP sake, it'll be a he) retirement. It was time to battle. He raged upward, and finally stopped about ten feet from you, he was ready to battle, that was for sure. I don't know what you would do, or what you had actually done to deserve this, but you found yourself a Staryu. Good luck with it! I bet you could try to talk it down, but apparently you somehow 'disturbed' it. Who knew, but it was now in front of you. Possible Opponents ![]() Level 5 |

Kiandra and Stew swam for awhile, but all that swimming finally paid off. Just as Kiandra was about to turn back, she saw a little glimmer coming from bellow. Apparently Stew saw it too, as he swam a little closer to it but then stopped when he realized it was moving. Eying it carefully, Stew came a little closer, when all of a sudden it shot up from its spot and stopped when he was about 10 feet from Kiandra and Stew. It appeared that the glimmer was a Staryu, and he seemed to want a battle. The Staryu appeared raging mad, as he probably thought that Stew had invaded his territory. Well if it's a battle he wants it's a battle he'll get, and Kiandra planned on catching him when it was done. "Sorry if we bothered you, we were just looking for some Pokemon, like you. I'm sure you would like to battle, it seems you're ready for it, so lets. Stew, focus all your energy on attacking, then use all that energy to charge at the Staryu with those spikes on your back. So that the spikes actually hit the Staryu, tilt yourself a little bit forward. Oh, and one more thing, aim for the red gem." Kiandra was thinking about trying to calm down the Staryu first, but then decided that it would be useless as he seemed so ready and willing to battle. Plus, this would be good practice for Stew. If we could turn that charge with your spike thing into an actual attack, this battle would be worth it even if they lost. And if they won, that would mean a new Pokemon for Kiandra. Kiandra wasn't so fond of Staryus, as she found it creepy how they had no gender or eyes, but she needed more Pokemon to use to catch even more Pokemon. Maybe she could trade the Staryu away if she found someone else who wanted him. |

ZOMBIES <3

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on taking on the challenge of raising a Magikarp. It’s very rare you see a person who puts up with, well to be frank, the creature’s uselessness so that it could grow into something more majestic in the future. Gyradose, the powerhouse of the first generation, apparently that was your aim, and I wish you luck in the future. But besides that, how about we get this battle started? The sunlight pierced through the foam and miniscule waves that danced along the seas surface into the pristine ocean itself, serving as a perfect lighting to your battlefield. The Staryu stood, accepting your challenge and feeling quite confident with itself. And so, after a few moments of concentrating on his opponent, Stew charged towards the enemy as fast as the little fish could. As he approached –with your words ringing in his non-visible ears- he lowered his head so that the three golden spikes that protruded from his back were able to make contact with thy enemy. Staryu’s crimson orb glowed, and then the creature propelled itself off the sand and into the water –leaving a trail of sand behind him-, then with a quick calling of his name he prepared for his attack. Bubbles rushed behind him as he charged towards your Magikarp, ready to intercept the fish’s attack with his own that unfortunately was more powerful than that of Stew’s. BAM! The two collided; the force of the impact caused both of them to be hurled through the water in opposite directions. It seems as if your plan did do a number on your adversary, for if you were to concentrate rrreeeaaalll closely, you could see a small crack on the Staryu’s cherry-red orb. Well it seems as if round one of your first battle in Zenethia had ended, not only that but the partakers in this duel received about the same amount of damage. So what shall you do for round two?

Stew followed his commands well, but the Staryu did better. With both Pokemon running into each other like that, it was the Staryu that dealt the most damage and Stew who took up the most energy. Well it seemed that Stew had at least accomplished something, as Kiandra spotted a teeny crack upon the Staryu red center. If Stew kept this up, maybe he could make the crack bigger and even win. Training a Magikarp was hard, but it would be worth it in the end. "Stew you did good and not to bring your hopes down but the Staryu did better. If we're gonna win, we have to do even better than the Staryu. Swim to the floor of the ocean, where the sand is, and wait for the Staryu to follow you down there. When he gets there, quickly get behind him and use chomp on his top arm...er...point thingy. It doesn't have to be powerful, just get a grip on him with your mouth. Then, do a back flip as powerful as you can, so that the Staryu flips with you, and since he'll be facing forward he'll hit the floor. If you think you can do two back flips in a row, go for it. But if you do two in a row, make the first a bit higher than the floor so that the Staryu doesn't hit the ground immediately, as it will just be to gather speed. The second one would have to be closer to the ground so the he he will hit the ground. Remember, you can't let go of him 'till he's on the ground. So after you're done flipping him to the ground, back up a bit and then use charge. Since he'll be on the floor face forward, you might do more damage to the orb. I hope you got all that, now go." Kiandra gave her orders in a quiet tone, so that only Stew could hear as the Staryu was farther away. Stew fortunately had landed on her side after the collision. Kiandra hoped for Stew to be smart enough to understand the plan, and carry it out correctly. There were many things that could go wrong with this plan, like Stew misunderstanding something or the Staryu not letting Stew past him. Kiandra hoped for luck to be on her side. |

Eager to prove his worth, Stew began the second round of you and the Staryu’s small skirmish. He swam to the ocean’s floor, enticing the star-like creature to follow him down. The Star Shape Pokemon charged towards Stew, attempting to land another Tackle onto your cohort, who managed to dodge it successfully by darting to his side, and then bit into his arm like appendage. Unfortunately, Magikarp lack the pointed teeth that are necessary to real damage to an opponent, but nevertheless Stew tried. The end result to this was that when he tried to complete the second part of you command, the combination of two summersaults and a face smack down into the sandy earth, he accidently lost his grip on the struggling star. But still, even though he no longer had a hold of his adversary, he still continued his assault in a manner that none would have expected. Let’s just say, that as Staryu broke free of Stew’s grasp, he got a face full of fin. Yes, indeed your Magikarp managed to slap the unsuspecting star twice in the face with his tail fin. Aggravated the Staryu lunged at your Magikarp again with another Tackle, but since there was such a short distance between the battle’s two competitors, he was unable to gain the speed needed to do real damage –all he managed to was to push Stew back so that he no longer was being smacked in the face, er, orb. Round three is a go~
