There are different ways Pokemon can learn moves. One of those ways is by Move Tutoring. Move tutoring is a way for a Pokemon to learn a move before the level of learning. So, if I had a Squirtle and he was going to learn a new move, such as Water Gun. Squirtle wouldn't normally learn that move until level 13. Well, with the help of move tutoring, it can learn Water Gun at level 5 or earlier.

To do something like this, a Pokemon needs to have a lot of open space, and maybe a target to learn the move with. A tree, bush, or even another Pokemon. You can move tutor at any point. Only GMod's+ can move tutor a person. If you are wanting to move tutor, please request a Gmod+ in the MRT.

Move tutoring, is just a reference to you teaching your Pokemon something off their TM list or something later down the line of levels. It's possible for you to teach your Pokemon higher level moves at lower levels as well. It all depends on the quality and length of your post. For example, here is a post referring to a Squirtle at level 5, trying to learn water gun.

It takes a few posts to fully learn the move, and the percentage learned is determined by the Moderator moderating you. You need the percentage to be 100% before the move is fully learned.

Now, take Hydro Pump for example. A level 5 Squirtle trying to learn water gun is a lot different than trying to teach it Hydro Pump at such a low level, and will take a LOT more time to learn than a simple move such as water gun. It is even suggested that one would learn weaker attacks first to lead up to the power of the strong attack, then try to go onto learning stronger moves so soon.

The more detail you put into your post, means the more of a percentage you will gain with the Moderator.

Quick Notes:
  • As stated, the more detail and the better the quality of the post, the more of a percent that will be gained. Grammer and spelling are affected by this.
  • The stronger the move, means it will take more effort into learning it, and also the longer it will take. Don't rush it, if you try and learn it in one long post, it generally won't happen. Break it up into steps or some other way for a better training process.
  • If there are surroundings, try and use them to your advantage of learning the move. Maybe you have a Pokemon that has already learned the attack, and you can use that Pokemon to demonstrate to your other Pokemon what to do.
  • You do not decide when you learn the move, that is for the Moderator to decide.
