It's been a long ass time, but here we are. This is for the members that have already came back, and for any possible returning members. I'm just writing this to let you all know that I am completely serious about restarting and re-vamping this site. I'd love to get our little community back up again, and maybe even expand that little community! |
In-Game Info: Year: 2005 Month: August |
| I want to also apologize for my sudden absence from here. Personal life was becoming very tough and, without going into too much detail, I was at a very bad place in my life. But now things are getting better, and I'm ready to start becoming an active RPer again, and to re-connect with all of you guys! So, here's some general questions I have for you all: do you want to restart our roleplays or wrap up what we already have? Also, what sorts of changes would you like to see around here? We'll discuss all of this in the coming weeks. I want to give you an idea of what will be different with this re-opening. 1. The Site Rules will probably be updated. The update probably won't be too major, but enough will be different that it will warrant a look from new and existing members. 2. My expectations for writing quality are going to be stricter. Your Rain was open to RPers of all experience levels in the past, but I need to start expecting a certain level of quality. Not perfection, of course, because nobody's perfect. But since I've matured as a writer, I'm going to want a mature group of writers on the site. My vision for what I want this site to be and what I want it to become has changed since I started out. This is really aimed more at new members, because I know the existing members are all very talented writers. But just don't be surprised if I'm more meticulous than I was when the site started. I hope I don't come across as an asshole though! Your Rain will, of course, be first and foremost about having fun in the world of Silent Hill, so don't expect that to change any time soon. And as always, I will accept members regardless of their level of Silent Hill knowledge, because they can always be teached! Anyway, I'm very excited to be continuing with this site, and hopefully make it even better than before! -Adrien |

Griffin hummed to himself as he skipped though Silent Hill, not at all put off by all the fog. True he hadn't seen anyone in a bit but that was ok, he liked the quiet. He just had to find someone then find out why there was a barrier stopping him from driving on through town. What the hell was with this thick fog? Its not London for Pe-Huh? He saw something move out of the corner of his eye but it was just a human like shadow. "Hey!" The shadow moved away and he ran after it... Though he had to guess where it went. Blood stains helped though. Soon he found his way to what looked like a construaction zone. "Hello?" Great... Gone. "I hate this place." |

Donnie slumped his shoulders, his hands in his pockets as he walked a street of Silent Hill. Earlier he had to follow a path through some eery woods to make it here, leaving his car behind out on the observation deck. He stared at the cracked and broken pavement, wiping a tear from his eye and trying to regain his emotions. The memories of Naomi had already begun to flood back into his mind, despite the change Silent Hill had seemed to go through. Donnie wondered where everyone was at; he had an odd feeling of being alone, which sent fear through his body. To his left, a store sign creaked in the wind. A piece of garbage blew passed him, the air whistling in his ears. He smiled at last when Naomi's presence swept through him like the weather, glad to be back in the only place where he felt alive anymore. Lifting his head, he strode through the road again, admiring the familiar stores and restaurants. Further along the way, a figure moved strangely, as if limping. Donnie stopped, wondering who was here. Curious, he thought. A limping person in this strangely desolate and foggy town was bound to be a frightening one. He laughed at himself, the thought of him being a lowlife, walking the streets of the same town any other stranger here was walking. At least he was upright, despite lacking a backbone. He frowned at his thoughts, lowering his head yet again. Red smeared the road in front of him. A shiver crept up Donnie's spine; he did not want to know what it was, though he had guessed it already. Following the traces of blood spatters, he found more spots and smears of it. What had happened here? he asked himself. He hoped he could find someone else around here somewhere. He honestly did not want to be alone, whether he was a quiet, observant kind of person or not. |

Cursing to himself in fake Swahili, Griffin made his way away from the construction site, generally a bit made that he couldn't see the figure anymore. When he reached the last bloodstain he had been at he saw the limping shadow go into an alley. "Hey! Hold it!" He ran into the alley... And it started to get a bit wierd. "Wow, thats a lot of red." His footsteps went from tomp tomp tomp, to squish squish squish. Then it started to go puddles. "Okey... Wierdness." He looked back and he couldn't see the alley entrance anymore. He got the feeling that it ended at the entrance though... "Great, em kcuf." He reached into his jacket and pulled out his weapon, thirteen inches of cold steel. That made him feel better... kinda. "Come out come out where ever you are." [[Yep. They desended into Griffin's Otherworld. Oh and the monster could be a mix of their regrets. I was going for someone who had been stabbed and then had... SPOILER!]] |

Cosette Rhelyn Kedieo ; "I'm in... a nightmare." Wherever the hell she was, it was getting weirder, and weirder, by the second. The young woman, Cosette, moved through the alleys in silence, not sure where she was going, why she was here, or what she was going to do. She knew a few things; This was Silent Hill. Weird shit was happening. She had to get out. Yup, that was about it. It was as she turned down another alley that the young woman froze, and Cosette narrowed her eyes. That... was not a normal footstep. It was squishy... as if... she looked down, shaking. "Blood..." She whispered. Something had happened here... something strange... something she didn't want to think about. She turned, starting to go back the way she came, but a thought, a damned thought, crossed her mind. What if someone was hurt down this way? What if she was walking away from someone who had a life needing to be saved. Cosie sighed, grabbing the nearest object -- a brick -- and started back the way she came. Sure a brick wouldn't do much... but if you bashed it over someone's head well, it would be okay, right? ((Ooc:: Sorry, low muse. x.x)) |

His hands quivered as he searched his pockets; he had brought no kind of weapon with him. Donnie had hoped to find a knife or some kind of object to defend himself with. He continued to walk down the road, hearing strange noises. Through the fog, a shadowy figure approached Donnie. Giving him the only option he had, Donnie turned and started to run. The creature lagged behind, holding it's lower stomach and limping along. Donnie had to find somewhere to hide, at least until he found some kind of weapon. |

Griffin followed down the alley, finding the thing that had led him here and laughing. It looked like a bloated corpse with its ankle tendons cut through, its genitalia sawn off and bleeding blood through every hole in its body. "Oh, how pitiful." Strangely enough, it resembled one of his darker drawings. One that he had burned. Eh. It turned towards him and stalked forward, limping onward in some imposible way, its blood pouring faster as if it was excited to see him. "Oh? You want to drownd me? Ha!" He moved backwards though. Maybe he was talking crap that he couldn't keep up on. The others could see him right now... Not that he heard them. "Back the fuck away, Motha Trucka!" |

Donnie rushed through the town and spotted an alleyway. He ran to it, his back pressed against a brick wall. Desperately he looked around for something to protect himself with. With luck, he saw a crowbar, but hesitantly picked it up. He really didn't like the idea of having to resort to violence, but that was the only option he had now. Taking a deep breath, Donnie jumped from the alley to the sidewalk. Looking around, he saw nothing but fog. Slowly, two... - no, three? - figures appeared through the fog, stab wounds about their bodies, and blood dripping through their fingers as they held their lower abdomen. Donnie shook his head slowly. "Strange," he thought. This was reminding him of when Naomi... He shook his head again. Walking closer to them, they reached out to him, their eyes wild like drug users and their pale skin drooping slightly off of their skinny bodies. Donnie lifted the crowbar, trying not to look directly at the monster in front of him. He lowered the end of the bar down onto the shoulder, hearing something crack, then hearing a high pitched scream, almost distorted sounding and similar to an animal or woman. He clenched his eyes shut, cursing himself for feeling guilty of hurting this...thing, now on the ground and writhing around. He shouldn't feel bad; it didn't look human. Finally he opened his eyes, only to see that the other two figures had limped closer to him, almost close enough to touch him. Edited by Donnie Heath Lewis, Jul 30 2011, 11:02 AM.

It wasn't that long until the monster got closer to Griffin than he would have liked. It was actually too much, this was way too much fucking shit to deal with. "Discretion is the better part of Valor!" He then turned and ran out of the alley, passing by whoever could still see without seeing them, just running. [[out of topic for me]] |
