Background: Hana Ookami was born in the village of Yamagakure. She was born to a man named Shikon Ookami later to become the Kage of the village and to a mother she didn’t really know due to her untimely death. When she was three years old, she would always play with the animals of her clan. Laughing and playing, she didn’t have a care in the world. Always looking up to her father, since her mother passed away, she wanted to always be known as daddy’s little girl. When she was younger, she normally stayed at home and played with the animals only going out rarely due to her being so young. She would go out with her father whenever he allowed it, she always felt safe when she was near him. Whenever she went out with him, she was always fascinated with the village of Yamagakure. Her small eyes were always wide eyed staring at all the different people and things and her head was always on the move looking at something new and different every second. When she was five, her father explained to her about their clan, that they were pet tamers. She gave her father a sad look saying that they were her friends. Her father laughed agreeing with her telling her that one day she will find an animal that best represents her. She gave him a big smile and hugged his leg looking up at him, then ran off giggling. She was now allowed to leave her home and walk around by herself as she went and explored new places each day. She made a lot of friends and loved her life, even though she missed her mommy. Whenever she could, she would always write or attempt to write letters stand on top of the highest place she could get to and let the wind take the paper hoping that it would reach her mommy wherever she was. She looked around looking at the village and gave another small smile as she watched the sunset over the horizon. It was far off after that point , probably a few months or so, when her father became the next kage of the Yamagakure village. After that her whole life changed around and no one ever looked at her the same way again. She was never the nice girl with the cute smile anymore, but she was the kage’s daughter. More and more people said that her father will do great things and they expected nothing less of her. It was from that point on she knew she couldn’t let her father down. All the little kid trouble that she use to get into, she didn’t get into anymore. She created two personalities for herself, one for public appearances as her father’s daughter and another for when she went out to just have fun and be a kid. Now that she was the Kage’s daughter she was taught how to better read and write. She also learned how to play a couple of instruments, mainly the Orcarina and a bell like instrument. They wanted her to sing, but she refused saying that all that was just enough. Even though they said that nothing was too hard for the kage’s daughter, she told them if they made her sing she would tell her father to fire them. Due to her reading more and more books, her mind grew and developed a bit faster than the other kids. Sometimes she would use words that they didn’t understand or do things that they would consider weird. One time when she was 6 and a half years old, her and her friends were chasing a cat. They were all running after it, before she stopped knowing the cat was faster than all of them. She remembered reading in one of her books, deception is the key to victory. Looking around, she went over to a stand that sold fish and bought one. Even though he told her to take it for free, she insisted on paying for it. Also getting a wooden box, she put the fish down and climbed up a tree. Looking down, she created a situation for the cat knowing that it should be hungry from running around a lot. Making it seem like no one was around, she had the deception set up. A few moments later the cat took the bate and came to eat the fish. When that happened, she jumped out of the tree and caught the cat in the wooden box. The kids came a few moments later seeing that she caught the cat. They rushed and accidentally knocked over the box with the cat running away again. She sighed as her and the other kids chased after it with her just laughing while running. When she was 8 her father and a few others in the village expected her to pick out her animal partner. She remembered her fathers words from so long ago saying that her pet will resemble her. She didn’t know which animal represented her the best, so she decided to go to the library and look up on animal symbolism. She looked for animals that were smart, cunning, deceptive, loyal, and strong willed. She knew more than likely that she wouldn’t find all of these traits in one animal, or probably one that wasn’t extinct. Finding a few that represented her, she wrote those animal names down and kept it in her pocket for a later day before she decided to look for the different animals. She went and observed most of the animals on her list, trying to find out which one appealed to her the most. She studied the birds, hawks, eagles and noticed how they flew high in the sky roaming free in the air. She studied the snakes how they slithered on the ground always on the lookout and how they stalk their enemies going up to them unnoticed and attacking. She studied the dogs seeing how loyal and head strong they were. Also their spirit was strong willed in doing what they did knowing the result will be love given to them. She studied the cats, seeing how they also stalk their prey. They were also two sides of a coin, seeing how they appeared to be harmless and cute. When danger showed, they showed their wild side proving to be more dangerous than they let on. She studied the lizards and chameleons seeing how they blended in with their surroundings as if being invisible. Hana liked what she saw, but still didn’t know which one to pick. She decided to go to sleep and think about it. When she was asleep she had a dream about all the different animals in a great war. All the others gave up except for two. The might eagle in the sky and the cunning snake down below on the ground. There were conflicts with them both before she felt something slither up her leg before opening her eyes. Throwing off the covers, she noticed a family of snakes slithering up her legs. Her eyes went wide, before she saw a feather falling down in front of her face. Looking up, there were a flock of eagles above her as they did a nose dive to the family of snakes. Closing her eyes again, she then woke up again looking all over her room. Looking underneath her covers to see no snakes and looking up to see no birds. She knew she would have to choose soon. A few days passed while she was still pondering about what would be a good fit for her. Going out into the forest, she thought that the eagle or hawk would be the best for her. Wanting to get the animal by herself, she went out into the forest. Watching out she followed them back to what looked to be a mini mountain next to a tree. Climbing the tree, she got higher and higher off of the ground. Looking down, she noticed she was a far way up and got scared. She knew she couldn’t be scared since her dad was the kage and her the kage’s daughter. Getting close to the top, she was next to the nest. Holding onto the branch, she started to slowly shimmy across the branch towards the nest. Putting her hand out she tried grabbing an egg. Suddenly, she heard a screech as an eagle came out of no where nose diving at her arm. Quickly pulling it back, the Eagle narrowly missed. She quickly shimmied back over to the tree. The bird came around again as it started pecking and scratching her. She screamed trying to swat the bird away but that only worked for seconds at a time. She managed to climb down until about 10 feet off the ground and fell down with a loud thud. She yelled in pain as she looked up at the bird as if it was coming in for the kill. Closing her eyes, she didn’t feel anything, but instead heard a thud then a loud screech before opening her eyes. She saw the eagle holding a very small and poisonous snake. It stood on the ground next to the dead snake and didn’t attack her anymore. She figured the snake must have crawled onto her when she was climbing the tree and the eagle attacked her because of the snake. She sighed in relief before looking over seeing a fallen nest and a young eagle with a broken wing. It looked like it was about to take its first flight, but instead its nest got attacked. Scooping it up, she limped back to her village. Going back to the village, people were alarmed to see her scratched up. Getting medical ninja quickly, they healed her scraped, cuts and stopped the bleeding as if it had never happened in the first place. Whenever her father had a minute, he went to check on her getting a report of her being pretty banged up. She told her father of what happened with the eagle and the snake. He then explained a bit more about their clan now that she has a pet and soon she will be able to talk with the eagle after its healed. Also telling her next time she was going to go after a dangerous animal to ask him or someone else. She smiled nodding to her father, before she gave him a hug. Over the time she and her eagle have gotten closer and closer. Soon she was able to talk with her eagle and about what it can do. It said that it can’t fly yet due to its wings, but would love to. It can see very far and is a good predator. It said it had other talents as well and that hopefully she can help the young eagle unlock them in due time. She liked talking to her eagle and her eagle liked talking to her. She told him a little about herself also and about who she was saying that she was someone important. Over a while though, the wing mended and healed and soon it was able to fly. Also it was her eyes in the sky, and helped her track certain things that were far away by flying around when it was out in sight. She just had her 10th birthday as she went to her place that overlooked the village. She had written another letter to her mother with a small smile on her face. Looking up at the sky, she got a bit teary eyed as she let the wind take her letter. She hoped her mother was proud of her as the letter told her that she was going to enter the academy tomorrow now that she was of age. She also told her that she had a pet eagle also and was getting more involved with her clan. She kept saying up in the sky that she will make both her parents proud of her since she was the future. (Dn how this will work. Im guessing all rp with her from before is voided out) |
