Personal Information BYOND Key: Sinsoro Name: Tenkyuu Tokoyonokuni Gender: Male Age: Twenty-Three Rank / Occupation: Jounin Sensei/Scout and Support Shinobi Other Information Brief Description: Born among the long forgotten clan of the Tokoyonokuni, Tenkyuu has held a similar appearance to his ancestor's before him. His body structure is naturally slender, without fat but without much muscle as well, this frame being slightly heightened by his natural habit's of lazing about. With pale snow-white skin, he often stand's out in a crowd, and it is only accented by his charcoal hair, so his presence is often known, whether or not they know of his skill's as a shinobi. Feminine feature's conflict with his abstract facial appearance, which, coupled with his eyes, which do little more than gaze absently, give him a enigmatic look. He is rarely caught without his shinobi gear on, in particular keeping his Konoha forehead protector strapped to his right arm, whether or not he is wearing casual civilian clothing. Multiple scar's are written across his face let some know that he has been in a close situation more than once... Or do they hold some other significance? Chapter 1 {New Beginnings} The sun rested behind the ominous cloud's, who breathed upon the tree's, which shook with ferocity, forcing leaves to blow away and wither. Lightning and thunder preformed a chorus for Konoha, perhaps for the Hokage, and they boomed and flashed with pride to form a crescendo of awe inspiring magnitude. The rain fell heavy upon Konoha and the land surrounding, and the soft dirt turned into thick mud. The day proved to be long, though Konoha was no less lively, and many of the shinobi were still out on their daily duties, barely bothered by the weather, and the merchant's were pleased with the rather sudden flood of traveler's entering Konoha in search of shelter, food and drink. But, as the rainfall slowly died down to a halt, and the lightning began to disappear and the thunder ceased it's roar, the watch at the gate found something that they did not expect upon their doorstep; a bruised, battered and bleeding young man, fallen unconscious just inside the entrance, his breathing shallow, and his life nearing it's end... The man found himself in a dank, dark room, but he could see little, if anything. For what seemed like eternity the room lay silent, but he dared not move into the darkness, for it petrified him. The room grew colder, iced formed around his feet, and every breath he took was painful. He fell to his knee's as the pain become worse with every breath he took, and he looked at his reflection at the newly formed ice below him. He couldn't even recognize himself... Who was he? The chill grew harsher then before, and the man felt numb, and he looked at the ice again, where something lay behind him, cloaked, maneuvering it's hand toward him as froze with fear. The mysterious figure breathed a dark, cold breath, and the room grew even colder. Death was the man's door. And he could do nothing to stop it. Of course, it was only a nightmare. Death was upon the boy's door, but it did not claim him that day, due to quick action of the shinobi at hand. When the young man awoke, his memory was shattered, and he could only remember piece's of his past. He couldn't recall how old he was, though, judging by his physical appearance, the doctor's had decided upon a teenager, probably nearing the end of those year's into full adulthood. He had come in bleeding heavily, his heart barely beating, and his breathing erratic. He had fallen into a coma for nearly a month. Though he knew little of where he was, why he was there, or where he would go from there, he dedicated himself to do whatever was needed for the hospital before he had physically recovered enough to travel again. One Year Later It only took one year for the young man to fully recover from his grievous injuries, at which point he gladly thanked the hospital and all those who had cared for them with his greatest respect's, and they wished upon him safe travel's. He'd never been to Konoha; or maybe he had, but couldn't remember? He would probably have never found out. He found the village to be one of the most beautiful thing's he had ever witnessed; it was not massive, but it was surely awe inspiring. Tenkyuu did eventually discover, though, that the world ran on money as well. Of course, he tried job's. Many of them, actually. But he never felt fulfilled with any of them, no matter how hard he pushed himself, or how much money was going be given to him. He needed to find something to do, something he was good at... But what would it be? The question challenged him for at least a month, within which he attempted numerous job's, none of them satisfying him in the least. One day, however, something caught his attention; it was a poster, on that hosted a tournament for martial art's. The cost wasn't a minute sum, but, from all the money he had collected in those job's, he had just enough to make it in. If anything, he could at least pass his time at a casual tournament, while at the same time testing his own fighting skill's. Of course, being as naive as he was, he didn't expect the tournament to house anyone extremely skilled in the way of martial arts; rather, he'd expected a casual tournament of newly-trained fighters. This was not the case. The men that appeared were muscular, heavily trained expert's, each one passing an angry glare at the smallest of the competitor's; Tenkyuu. He had thought of backing out, but, sadly, he was the the first competitor to go up, along with a stout man, several feet taller than him, who seemed to have been practicing some style that relied completely on size rather than any kind of striking application, though he couldn't be sure. The hulk of a man launched his fist toward Tenkyuu's chest, and instinct took over his action's as he gracefully dodged to the right, jabbed the man in the liver, then used the man's arm, which was still gliding with momentum, to force his opponent to the ground. Surprised and almost fearful of his own newly acquired ability, Tenkyuu forfeited the match, and promptly left. Among the crowd of men and women who had watched the interesting event unfold, there was a shinobi among them, who had just taken his day off to rest for a while, and now was quite intrigued about the young man's ability. He obviously wasn't a normal child; he had come without a sensei, little more than the clothes on his back, and had put a man at least a hundred pounds heavier than he to the ground. So who was this young man? Events Occuring Between Age Seventeen and Twenty-Three Tenkyuu was later confronted by this shinobi a few day's later, and he explained that he had read Tenkyuu's records, inferring that he may have had some training prior to the memory loss, and the fight had jogged the memory back into his brain, out of instinctual reaction. Initially hesitant when the man made the offer to teach him the way's of the shinobi, Tenkyuu accepted, and began his training immediately. He started out like any other shinobi would; as an academy student. This stage in his training was very short lived, however, lasting for little more than a month, given the circumstance's of his age, though he proved to be an astute student, though a bit of a lazy one as well, passing with little more than mediocre written grade's. As a Genin, he was joined by two other Genin who were also his age, though they were far above his level of skill, given their year's of practice that he had yet to achieve. He spent three year's training with this Genin, at which point he was a respectable shinobi in his own right, and was confident in his own ability. Their sensei then decided that they were ready for the Chunnin exams, where they would test their skill's with various challenge's designed specifically so that they would test their limit's. Without going into very much detail, Tenkyuu passed with flying color's, along with his teammate's. The once close team eventually broke up as everyone began to go their own way, and Tenkyuu was one of the first to leave them. He began doing mission's at an alarming pace, for the most part successful, though he didn't partake in any mission that involved teamwork, for that wasn't his forte', to say the least. He continued along this path for another two year's and eight month's, where upon that time passing he had proven to Konoha that he was of good use to them, and was later promoted to Jounin. Yamagakure? Only four month's after being promoted to the prestigious rank of Jounin, Tenkyuu caught rumor's of another village in the tea country, lead by a Sannin from their very own village. Tenkyuu struggled to recall who the man was, though he vaguely recalled a mass leaving of a few shinobi and villagers a few years prior to this one. He had spotted the leader, that is, the one at the front of the group, though he had never seen him before, and therefor he couldn't be certain whether or not that was the Sannin that was being so mysteriously talked about. One thing was for sure, though; the man was very mysterious. Apparently, some shinobi were considering taking their leave from Konoha in favor of Yamagakure, which was still in need of shinobi of it's own, and it was far cheaper to live there than it was to live in Konoha. Tenkyuu almost immediately disregarded the idea. It was not out of loyalty for Konoha, but, rather, he figured there was no need to leave Konoha; he had everything he needed... Later that night, however, Tenkyuu found himself unable to sleep, thinking of the very same topic. Did he have everything? He had a reasonable income, an adventurous life, a (fairly) well accommodated apartment... So was it something more spiritual? Yes, that was it! He still hadn't discovered his lost memories; his past that had suddenly disappeared, and had not been recovered since. But how would he discover it in the tea country? Aikou?! Silence engulfed Konoha that night. A rare moment, to be sure, for once allowing Tenkyuu to give thought to the decision that would be life changing, depending on which choice he made. He blinked his eyes, moving his hand's behind his head as he gazed at his apartment ceiling. He wished he had someone to make these choice's for him; it was making his head throb. His eyes blinked once more, and he felt his lid's getting heavy, as the room grew black around him, and he began to feel the sweet embrace of his dreams... A bang on the door interrupted his thought's, and his brow cringed to physically show his displeasure with the sudden interruption of the only peaceful moment of his day. Another abrupt bang. Sighing lightly, Tenkyuu hopped of his bed, scratching the back of his head whilst yawning, dragging his feet toward the door. A shinobi is, of course, supposed to be always ready for an assassin, but Tenkyuu didn't expect anything like that, and, if it ever did end up being an assassin... Well, he had a semi-good life, didn't he? He opened the door to be greeted by a surprising guest. "So, Kenji-Sama, what brings you to my house in the middle of the night?" Tenkyuu spoke, pouring the now boiled tea into the man's cup, then into his own, finally sitting down, though one of his feet was on the table disrespectfully, but he didn't much care for table manner's. "I came here to speak with you about an... Important matter. As you probably already know, many of our shinobi are defecting from our village to the Tea country village, Yamagakure. I wouldn't ever dare such a thing, but my son, Aikou, seem's very interested with the prospect." he ended the sentence, leaning back in his chair lightly, taking a drink from his cup of tea three times, then setting the cup down, he began again, "While I support his decision, I'm quite aware of the fact that it would be dangerous for him, at least at this age, to go somewhere so foreign without any guidance." Tenkyuu closed his eyes and crossed his arm's, half expecting the man to continue talking, though that was more than likely not the case, or else he would have done so already. He opened his eyes again and sighed, "So, Is that where I come into this plan of yours?" "Correct. I've assumed that you have already decided to leave, too, which is why I was hoping you would guide my son, Aikou, while he is in the Tea country, at least until he can handle himself." he took another sip of his tea, placing it down when he had finished the last of it, continuing with, "Am I correct in my assumption, Tenkyuu-Kun?" Tenkyuu's eyes closed for a moment, and he sat deep in thought for yet another. He breathed slowly upon opening his eyes, "Yes, you are correct. I can prepare my thing's as soon as possible. If I may ask, when shall your son be ready?" Kenji closed his eyes slowly, standing up and putting the chair he had sat in in it's proper place, opening his eyes as he grabbed the knob to make his leave from the apartment. "Tomorrow, I think." What lies ahead...? Tenkyuu and Aikou arrived at Yamagakure safely, and are now living a fairly pleasant life in their own house, which is currently being rented for use, and Tenkyuu is trying his best to live as an 'uncle', though he is by no mean's good at doing so.
