So, I've just been to see 'The Fourth Kind', (After seeing the trailer and generally thinking it was aweosme) I have to say, I haven't been this freaked out by a film this year. 'Supposedly' (I say supposedly, as there's a lot of controvesy around this) based on true events, the film documents Doctor Abigail Tylers' investigation from Aug (or Sept..) 1-6tth. All of her patients have seen an owl at night, and have trouble sleeping, only to find the owl above them minutes later. They all wake up in the middle of the night. Wanting to find out more, Abi Tyler placves each patient under hypnosis, only for them to see what the owl really was.

The freaky bit? Actual and I mean ACTUAL video footage of these patients is shown alongside the film. As well as an intervire with Abi Tyler playing at key points of the movie. As the movie goes on, and you are shown more and more footage of the patients, (Audio recordings too.) You can't help but wonder if it is actually true, or just a very good Hoax.

As this is real video footage, (or at least, believed to be,) any footage which has alien or mysterious outcomes is distorted very badly, so we have to think if it's reliable. (I for am on the wall with this one.) Certain scenes are quite convincing, such as both Tyler and one of her patients being lifted up screaming, only to hear an aincient old language dating pre egyptian. The odd thing is, both the real people (That is, the actual Abigail Tyler, and the actual patient) Both are paralysed from the neck down due to the events, and still are to this day. Also, *HIGHLIGHT* Abigail's daughter went missing during the investigation, while under the care of ALL Abigail, her brother, and a cop who was staking outside the residence. The cop was recording from the police camera, (Which distorted) only for us to hear the cops disbelief at what was happening. Abigail's daughter was supposedly abducted, and has not been seen to this day

Just my thoughts on it, but nonethless, this is a good film.

As Mila Janovich says at the start, some scenes are quite disturbing, and as she says at the end, It's up to you to choose what you believe. ;)
