Well, think about it. You all consider yourselves as "intelligent" and, "smart". So, yeah? What is it? How does it distinguish you? Any down points? I personally, think it doesn't exist. And smartness is just the polar opposite of what should be measured, the level of stupidity in a person. |

Intelligence is really just how your neurons make connections. Society has catered it's school system to a certain group of people with a certain way of making these connections -- I'm one of them -- and usually not to anyone else. Think about special education kids. They're incredibly bright, they make these connections and connections other people can't make but hard for them to manage in the school situations that I'm in. Because they learn differently, and their minds work different. As for stupidity, I think measuring it is (LAWLS) stupid. This is because I have a simple equation for stupidity. stupidity = ignorance = laziness. Just give people a kick in the behind and stupidity is gone. Of course, people are inherently lazy (you know it's true!), so they do things that come easily to them. For me, that's artsy-fartsy stuff. I do it because I can and I don't suck at it. Some people do math because that's what comes easily to them. |

You're correct. Your equation is simple. Simple-minded. You can't sum through stupidity, that's just the invert of the basis. Stupidity and ignorance go hand in hand, so you can't really use both to create the stasis that you call "equal signs", since they're the same vein. And stupidity doesn't equal laziness, people may be idle, but it doesn't come from a production of lack. More of a prophylactic to the undercoating of candy beneath. So really, your equation for stupidity is stupid. You can't really measure it, since the automatic thought of opinion differentiates from the delirium, so you're taking into bias what shouldn't be. So, really, if you can't measure one end, why can you measure the other? In effect, both ends of measurement are limited. Like war. Then what's the pinnacle of intelligence with your ionic bonding? If it's all in different thought waves, you can process it all on the same conveyor? No. Impossible. Think about it, they're holsting crates upon the crates, so if one should tip that the other way, they'll be crushed. Like an opinion crushed. They aren't participating through this "speciality" that they sprawl on the curb, I'm yet to see someone without potential of being at the end of the scale. Prey doesn't slit itself open, it nurtures its constancy of being in peril. So, if they're taken out of the ordinary, how will the handle the catalyst? |

That's how I think of stupidity. If something is hard for someone to learn, it doesn't mean they're stupid, unless they're just ignoring the fact that they need to learn something, and even then they're not stupid. The correct definition of stupid is "lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull." do you agree with that? I don't. I think of stupid as someone who makes wrong decisions on purpose, or knows that one of their actions will probably end up turning out wrong, but they still do it, if that makes sense. As for being smart, it depends on how you look at it. If someone is really "smart" but everyone around that person is "smarter," everyone will think that one person isn't smart, but really they are...just not compared to everyone else. |
