Troubleshooting/Feedback Board

We have this (board), and we have a comments section for the blog. I think we could use something like an "issues" board, either adding it to this board (maybe as a sub board?), or creating another. That way if we had any problems viewing boards, posting, or editing profiles, etc. we could make a thread about it.. and if someone else had the same problem we'd know. Right now we don't have a specific board to do this. I think it'd be much easier to solve issues.

Opinions? :)

Reason for board: No current forum to post issues.
What board would be for: Topics like, "The Search tool dissapeared"/"Smileys aren't working for me"/etc.
In the topics: A description of the problem, and possible replies of other members who are/are not experiencing the problem.
Where this board would go: In "Contribute Your Thoughts" as a sub board, merged with "Contibute Your Thoughts", or a whole different board.
Who would use this board: Anyone experiencing technical problems, people who realize that they have the same problem as someone else, and the mods to solve them.

Is there anything I forgot to mention?

Good idea, Unknown.

At THL, we have all of those issues confined to one single "General Bug Thread"...and if there's something else, someone will create a topic for it in the general feedback forum. Maybe, if there are too many forums/subforums. whatever, WR can have its own bug thread?

If I have a problem I just PM Allyson about it. It doesn't clog the board then. You could always post it in 'Contribute Your Thoughts', you don't need a whole forum for problems, most would be solved by the FAQ anyway.
That's what I'm thinking...I've never gotten enough complaints and problems to think about setting up a subforum for it. :blink:

I understand what you mean now, but I'm not sure we need that. Would it be that much easier for someone to post it, rather than just PM a staff member?

Well, I still support the "bug thread" idea I had. That way, if one of the staff isn't available, another one could look at it and solve it, rather than having to wait for the person you PM'd to be online.

It could be a thread, then, like Icey said. I just think that it might be easier to figure out the cause of a problem. Like- say I found out one afternoon that the smiley list comes up empty, it could be a forum problem, or a glitch on my computer. I could post it in the thread and if other people have the same problem, then we'd know it was a forum thing and not just my computer being screwy.

It'd be fine without.. just throwing the idea up there.
