MSN and the WWW are great for sarcasm dectection. ;)

Anyways, two tomato incidents this week:
Somehow me and a friend started talking about tomatoes earlier this week, and she was saying how they tasted really good with salt and pepper. I've never actually had tomatoes with salt and pepper, only sugar. I've also had it cooked with scrambled eggs. (I'm Chinese). She found that a little weird, but personally, I can't understand how tomatoes with salt and pepper tastes as good as she was saying.

I was cutting tomatoes yesterday, and my mom was preparing eggs, when she came over and said, "I don't cut tomatoes like that". I looked down and I was cutting them in slices, and she told me that she always cuts them like apples.

How do you guys normally have tomatoes and how do you cut them?
