I'm afraid I've fallen victim to this new wave of vampire stuff. What are some vampire books that you've read and (dis)liked?

the Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine (starts with Glass Houses)
Bloodline by Kate Cary.. I think
Peeps by Scott Westerfield

PS: Actually, I almost made this topic just to rave about the Morganville Vampires series. But I won't.

I blame one of my best friends for getting me into the paranormal romance genre - especially with vampires. The stuff I read is pretty adult though.

The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series - JR Ward
The Midnight Breed series - Lara Adrian
House of Night series - PC & Kristen Cast
Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series - Laurell K. Hamilton
the various vampire works by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
and the ever classic Vampire Chronicles series by Ann Rice

...and Twilight will always be an old favorite, even if the later books, movie and rabid fangirls kind of ruined it.

Absolutely in love with vampires. I've been trying to write my own vampire novel, Order of the Moonlight, but I've been revamping it so it doesn't look so Twilight-ish.

Glad to see another vampire lover :D

I'd love to read some of that (Order of the Moonlight) when you're done. I'm not a fan of Twilight, but I think it's only because I tend to migrate away from fangirl crowds.. the first book was pretty good, I admit. I've heard of the House of Night series.. what's it about?

Another really good series is Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz (or maybe it was Melanie.. starts with "Blue Bloods"). I actually haven't read the second book yet, but from the preview in the back of the first, I need to get it. :P

i've always read Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
i've read two novels that are just written by fans who happen to be authors.
I also am obsessed with Twilight.
I just finished it and have Breaking Dawn.
I'm waiting for the next two to read.
My little brother is reading this book called "Suck It Up."
It sounds a bit cliche and dull. Has anyone heard of it?
Sorry I can't provide the author's name, seeing as I do not recall.

I've never really read any vampire books except from this little kids book 'Mona the Vampire' which was quite good. Nah, vampires don't work for me, they're just too solid in an already-made form, not characters that are especially surprising or anything. Deep, dark, scary, fangs . . . etc.

The little snippets I've read from Meyer's work, I'm not impressed. There's either a total lack of imagery or it just goes over-the-top. And Mary-sue alert!

But, yeah. That's just me. I'm more of a fantasy adventure, historical, kid's book fan. But Gaiman is awesome. :D

Eh, I'm not really into vampires...and I don't like Twilight. Sorry for being a party-pooper, but that's the way I am! :) I think vampires are kind of gross...and creepy. :X

I don't really like reading about vampires. The only book I've ever read about them was Twilight, and to be frank, it disappointed me. Lykaios was right when she said there was a mary-sue alert. I like different fantasy, more fairytale-ish.

I've just read Inkheart and have to wait till I have moeny to buy Inkspell. They are such good books and describe the pull of books perfectly.

Haha, mayybe or maybe not. We could both be the same level of obsessed. XD

Oh, I really want to read those books!

And yeah, Twilight was the only vampire book I've ever read, and I didn't like it. :(
