RULES:: Hello, and welcome to Writers Journal. To ensure that you do not get into any trouble without you realising, please read through the following. This site does not accept pornography or adult content at all. There are no exceptions and if you do so, you will be automatically banned from the site. If you, although, wish to put anything graphic or offensive within reason in any of your work, then please disclaim this at the beginning of your post. Swearing: Swearing on this site is not an issue, since most of us use it in our everyday language and it seems pretty useless to try to prevent 13+ from swearing, since it will probably not work. But excessive or offensive swearing will NOT be permitted. There are consequences! Spamming Spamming is in no way permitted on this site! For those of you who are completely confused on the term spamming, and are unsure of what to look out for, this is the description: Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social networking spam, and file sharing network spam. Thanks to Wikipedia. So any unnecessary messages like “hi” or “peanuts” ect. Will be seen to. “Double posting” is also spam. Please do not type messages if you were the last one to replay. That is what the edit button is for. Critiquing This site is all about helping others. So in order to do so, you may want to critique some ones work. This does not mean:
Because this isn’t helping the writer improve.
Nor is this because we are all about improving, not giving up. Do not take crits harshly. They are not mean, just opinions. Actions lead to consequences: On this site we have points and warnings. The seriousness of what you have done results in the amount of points you receive. These are split into Minor, Neutral and Major offences. For example: User44 May have spammed excessively. This is classed as a MINOR OFFENCE. User10 May have advertised without authorization. This is classed as a NEUTRAL OFFENCE User100 May have shown pornography. This is classed as a MAJOR OFFENCE, which then leads to an automatic banning. Minor offences give you 1-3 points. Neutral offences give you 4-6 points. Major offences give you 7 points. You will only get 7 points though, if you commit a major offence, not excessive minor or neutral offences. Here we believe in second chances, so once you receive 6 points, you will get a temporary ban, and after that ban has expired, then your point count is reset. But fail to keep to the rules on your second chance, and you can go straight to a permanent ban. But we hope this will never occur. Minor Offences: Spamming Minor insults Excessive swearing Neutral offences: Advertising Minor direct abuse at another member Arguing with staff Major Offences: Major Direct abuse. Pornography Adult content. Ect. There are many offences that I have not listed there so please use common sense and don’t do anything that seems wrong. We will notice you if you have committed an offense. PM me or any other staff if you are unsure. |
