June 1848 With the elections passed, the new Prussian government will have quite a tough time. The Prussian National assembly, the voice of the people of Prussia since ages past has made severe objections to the new Prussian constitution. With the National assembly speaking for all the diets of the cities and villages Prussia now has two voices. One of the government, and one of the Diets. The new liberal government will have -almost for sure- to make changes to the constitution. Only once they have done that, can the united diet be assimilated into the new governmental system. The King, who clearly agrees to some points of the constitution is still not happy with a number of the articles. People are wondering how long this government will last. |

June 1848 The Government is considering clearing all loans built up by peasants during the famine. This would cost the government allot of money. But it would stimulate the dwindling economy because demand for goods would rise. The constitutional situation is now under serious debate. With the King and conservatives clearly winning some ground with the support of the United Diet. |

September 1848 The Prussian National assembly will be changed in the function it has. This comes after several months of intense debates about the new constitution. Finally the King has been returned most of his power, but the first 23 articles of the new constitution will stay in effect. The troubles in Poland are the next topic on the agenda of the Government, together with the uniting of Germany. |
