July 1847 Siemens opened his telegraph and electrical construction office in Berlin today. The first day was a major success, Siemens was able to pick up several major contracts due to the latest round of government investment in telegraph lines. Siemens received a big Ottoman order, just one month after it was founded, and is now frantically looking for skilled workers and the like to help their construction and training project in the Empire, which is said to be very big. |

February 1848 Siemens is looking into the option of taking over the Prussian Telegraph manufacturer. Also being researched are the possibilities of the opening of two cable factories, one in St. Petersburg and one in London. |

June 1848 The deal by which Siemens takes over the Prussian Telegraph manufacturer has now been completed. And the Prussian telegraph manufacturer has been merged into Siemens. |

March 1849 Two factories have been built. They were constructed in London and St. Petersburg and produce telegraph cable. |
