June 1847 In Prussia it was always a pratice for the state to start Industries which did not seem viable for private buisnis men. This happend with the Iron mines in upper Silesia, the cotton industry around Berlin and leipzig, and fruit plantations further south. It has been decided that 3,000,000 thalers will be made availeble for several projects such as these. Especially in the East of the country, beyond the Elbe. Edited by Prussia, Jun 12 2010, 07:55 PM.
