May 1847 Railroads are mostly constructed in Prussia by private firms, the same goes for the Iron and coal sectors. The Government has last year significantly reduced taxes on Iron/coal/railroad projects. Now in a second phase the government will be giving out 10,000,000 Thalers in loans to the heavy industry sector for three years to come, after that there will be a revieuw of how these essential sectors are growing and to see if it is neccesairy to make more loans availeble. There is debate between Industrialists, and some ministers about a second reduction, or even abolishment of taxes on these sectors. |
