August 1842 A special committee has been formed by the King and his Chief Minister. This organ will be funded by the state, and its job is to advise the King on important matters. This body together with his Ministers will give the King a number of able advisor's so that there is no need of a unofficial clique of people around the King who advise him. This is preferable because in the past this clique of people have sown disunity in the Prussian government. The idea of this committee is being thought out from now on, and it should become fully operative in February 1843. |

March 1843 The committee of State will be formed from a professor from each university of the country, and a delegate from each ministry, the army and one from the navy. If the King has a question he will turn for counsel to the Committee of State. |
