Scandinavian-Prussian Trading Company

In the wake of the war of the grand coalition trade has fallen in the Baltic area. Both the Prussian and Swedish-Norway goverments think that this is a good time to invest in a mutual company which will operate a bit like the BEC.
The goverment of Prussia and of Sweden-Norway will both invest 52,500 pound sterling. From this money four steam srew ships will be bought. Larger than SS Archimedes, but smaller than SS Great Britain. They will be built in 1844 from which the company will start trading in the Baltic.

March 1845

The SPTC has started trading in the Baltic and the North Sea, it is expected to make a good start as it fills up gaps in markets after the trade with Russia was cut off last year.
(This company is basically state capitalism, it operates against other companies as any other one would do, and is the same in all ways, except that it has had goverment funding for its creation.)

February 1848
The Prussian Scandinavian Trade company has been steadily growing, operating a fleet of over twenty ships. Spreading its operations to northern England, Belgium, Holland and France. And even operating a monthly cargo/mail service to Istanbull. The Prussian government has been slowly thinking of selling its shares in the company to private buyers.
