Playable Nations The World in 1847 Spoiler: click to toggle Main Nations and Leading Players Note: A more comprehensive list of open nations can be found here. Great Powers (Essentials): United Kingdom - [Simon] France - Open for play USA - [Augustus] Russia - [Stormbringer] Prussia - [Burds], Schwerpunkt Austria - [Matthew], Nick Ottomans - [DonCossack] Netherlands - [Steffen], Yoran Intermediate Powers: Sweden-Norway - [George] Portugal - [Petar] Spain - [onopearls] Japan - [Lewington] China - [Midna] Mexico - [Ironman] Regional Powers: Bavaria - [Ludwig] Belgium - [KF] Denmark - [KJ] Piedmont-Sardinia - [JB] Two Sicilies - [PanzerIV] Greece - [Brock] Argentina - [ALark] Brazil - [Brazil] Egypt - [Egypt] Persia - [Tyler] New Granada - [Vik] To sign up, please register an account and post in this thread, or contact me via email at generalmatthew_shk@yahoo.ca. When signing up include the following information:
We staff will also wish to talk with you personally, either via MSN or e-mail, before you get started. Any or all of these prerequisites can be waived on the decision of the staff. Non-Lead Positions If desired, you may apply to join as a Non-Lead member (see the Beginner's Guide for more information) of any claimed nation. This might be a good option for a new player who does not feel capable or ready to jump right in but wishes to learn in a somewhat slower fashion. The acceptance of your requested position will be contingent on the approval of the Lead player, however. Non-Leads must adhere to the goals and principles set down by the Lead, although the Lead will more than likely consult with Non-Leads over a variety of matters or delegate tasks to them. The idea is eventually to get enough people participating to have entire nations made up of multiple players, who work together to form policies and create strategies, thus making the game much broader in scope all around. Getting Started After you are approved, please consult the Beginner's Guide for information on how to get started. |

As per discussions with GO...or Augustus rather and GM I've expressed my lack of available time to play with this speed. However as I have told Augustus, I have reconsidered with the knowledge that there are multiple players per nation. So my choices are 1. Secretary Treasury for the USA Levi Woodbury. I know that you seem disinterested in a second at the moment, but a council member is what my time likely allows for right now. If you'd accept, but prefer a different position that is fine. 2. Republic of Texas 3. Portugal 4. Mexico I've been invited continually on CFC for months. |

In any case it's the third most powerful country in the Americas, after the U.S. and Mexico, and the most powerful in South America, although Argentina might dispute that. ;P That's a fair definition of regional power. |
