March, 1911: The above order has been quadrupled by German war planners less one fixed wing plane. It is uncertain whether they will ultimately rely upon fixed wing aircraft or airships but it is believed a mixture of the two may be best. Berlin has put out several requests to designers for more reliable airships and faster, maneuverable, longer range aircraft. A dozen industrial firms and current manufacturers have begun work with plans to be presented in several months before the the Army and Reichstag.

April, 1912: The German Air Services have placed an order with Fokker to purchase 30 Fokker M.5 aircraft for service. Albatross-Fleugzeugwerke promises to have a newer model ready by the end of the year, however the government is convinced it will not be ready until 1913. 30 LVG B.I are also going to be procured. In addition to these aircraft, two zeppelins are planned to be procured. $21,000,000 has been paid for the manufacture and additional funds for spare parts are going to be allocated. Some of the existing aircraft will be withdrawn for educational and training roles once the new planes arrive. A state grant of $25 million will be given to create several new state aircraft plants in Berlin and Ingolstadt. Edited by German Empire, Nov 3 2012, 12:20 PM.
