August, 1900: The German Navy have substantianlly altered the plans laid by the Army for the development of the Marine troops of Germany.

I. Seebatallion at Kiel
II. Seebatallion at Wilhelmshaven
III. Seebatallion at Tsingtao
IV. German at Tsingtao
V. German at Dar Es Salaam
VI. German at Dar Es Salaam

All Marine troops will be serviced with recruits from the main depot at Cuxhaven. Where the Marine training school is to be established. The idea of the army was also scrapped that local troops would be allowed into the Marines. Finally, only one more naval station will be opened, and that is at Dar-Es-Salaam in German East Africa. Other than that German Army officiers will still be roted throughout the Marine units to establish common experiance.

The Naval Bill which was expected has also been put on hold following certain negotiations.

March 1904: Hector and Ajax have been commissioned into the German Navy. The ships greatly increase the power of the German Navy to respond to situations all over the world. Following the Venezuelan Crisis, which was deftly handled by a squadron of German ships the popularity of the navy has greatly increased in Germany. Hector especially is being used as a propaganda ship. A technical wonder and armed with the latest technology, its is destined to become a boy's ship.

The German Navy is also considering more cruiser designs. A design for a quick mine laying cruiser has been commissioned and is expected in about one years time. A new battleship design has also been commissioned, which is hoped shall be finished in two years. In the mean time there is significant debate about the question if more ships should be laid down of the Hector Class.
