I have always thought that in fantasy no god is safe (they die and new ones take their place) and mortals can achieve ascendancy as well. The positions (please add)

God of War

God of Death

Creator

God of Pain/Disease

Beast Lord

Earth

Water

God of Nurturing/Healing

God of Night/the Moon (since ancient cultures tended to revere the Moon and sun)

God of Day/the Sun (see above)

God of Winter/Ice/Cold

Kay, do we want any time of theme (like SE has light, shadow, and dark). Or should we leave that to SE haha.

Well, I'm not opposed to it, but its not something I usually do to a large extent.

Perhaps we should have diferent generations who have slight diferences. Like:

1st generation: Creator

2nd generation: Gods/goddesses of things such as death, beasts, seasons, sun, moon, water, earth - all things natural and not invented/influenced by the races

3rd generation: Gods/Goddesses of things that are invented/influenced by humans such as music, arts, architecture, weaving/sewing, war, memory, sleep, travel, outlaws, harvest, ect.

4th generation: Demi-gods, the first beings of some/all races

I like that idea Kaz. For the 4th gen. we could have it so that there is a sword (warrior), shield (defender), and scribe (scholar) of each god/faith? These are mortals but obviously kick ass.

Sure. And also, the demi-gods could be like... mortal's but with a lot of magic and power, and obviously with near or total immortality. Near as in a 100 000 to a 500 000 life span, and the more powerful demi gods could be completely immortal.

I think SE takes the mortals-can-ascend thing a little far IMO. I think our definition of what a god/goddess is should be a little more concrete than his, too.

We could make it a bit more defined as yo what a god is, but leaving them as vague anomalies and usually intrigues readers... or at least me.
