=============================================![]() ============================================= The stood really high today with no clouds even thinking of hiding it. I could even feel it through the thick cloak I was wearing to keep the damn orb of light out, it even had began to irritate my skin as it usually did before it began to burn. We, me and Brealyn, lucky enough to feel the gentle breeze that flew over the fields. It really chilled down my already hot body, though just temporarily. My mouth felt dry and the eyes decorating my face felt as if they were on its way to explode, therefore did I keep them closed and let my small companion lead the way. However, I could orient myself slightly by focusing on the road and its stony and dirty surface. I breathed heavily in exhaustion of travelling in the sunlight. Why did we go out again?! I thought as I panted and tried to catch my breath again. We had been walking like this for the past two hours and had really begun to annoy me. I leered slightly at the human that helped my stand up, and then on the girl...they really looked alike. "This really make me wonder over my decision to see a human village in daylight" I panted out without thinking of that the human couldn't understand me. I was talking in the ancient language of the vampires after all. We walked another hour and one more. I opened my eye slightly and saw the first house to what should resemble a village, our destination. My body sighed in relief and it made me a bit more stronger. I even managed to stand up by myself, my curiosity fought down the exhaustion and I could feel my feet speeding up on their own. Although this didn't last for long, before I fell down to my knees a few meters inside the so called 'gates' that acted like the entrance to the village. I had read 'Basfelt Village' on the sign that wavered in the wind between two thick iron chains. Basfelt was a somewhat wealthy village, not being poor nor rich lived they their lives in harmony. Everyone cared about and knew each other, like it usually was in villages that were spread across the land. While standing there on my knees could I feel the curious and worrying looks I got from mortals that walked around the village. But I didn't get more than that and a few whispered questions like; "Isn't it hot in tha' cloak" and "I wonder if he's 'key". They spoke their farmer accent if Chastallian, and I understood everything they said. I had got my own experience with villagers before, being chased out from most of them I had visited. My mouth was so dry that I couldn't even ask Brealyn for help. I only managed to make a few hissing sounds, which hoped that none of the humans would come and wonder how he felt. They would probably see his face if they did and then it would be a panic...I knew the drill. Edited by Chishio, May 4 2009, 09:41 PM.

Brealyn wondered why Nevyn wanted to go on this strange outing in the middle of the day. He could have at least picked a day with more clouds outside. She was fine in the sun but he not so much. "I still don't get why you had to see this during the day." she told him at the same time he was complaining about seeing the village in the day light. She giggled. It was strange how her friendship with the vampire grew. She enjoyed his company and spent many hours talking to him. Sometimes she would forget she looked ten because he treated her as an adult. She sighed to herself deep in thought. People started to stare at them strangely as he fell to the ground. She shook her head and helped him get up looking for the nearest tavern to drag him in out of the sun. Nicolette flanked his other side. "Hes just a little parched." Nicolette said as people passed by. Brealyn finally found a place for them in the dark tavern. "Are you happy now? You saw the village in daylight." she said to Nevyn smiling. "Wait here I'll get you someone to help you get your strength back a bit." She said in the old vampair tongue, putting on her girlish charm to persuade a barmaid to help him to the outhouse. Women were so trusting and the barmaid didn't appear to be drunk so that was good. She waited for Nevyn to accept the help from the woman. She knew he would be able to make it back into the tavern if he got some of his strength back. |

OOC: I'm not sure what you mean with outhouse, but just tell me if I'm wrong and I'll edit ![]() IC: There wasn't much I could do but accept the help the mortal woman offered, and I took her hand. However, I was careful to show her my face. She would probably panic if she got to know that it was one of the Crour Concilium she was helping getting his strength back. The thought amused me slightly. "Thank you..." I said softly to the woman in her own tongue. I felt the gentle touch of a woman's hand against my own glove fitted hand and it took most of my strength to just stand up again. I smiled exhausted to the little girl, who actually nearly was as old as I was. My throat was to dry to speak and I let the mortal lead me to a building of some sort. I closed my tired eyes and commanded my thoughts to think of something else than the heat and pain the sun gave me. My inner sight turned black and notes began to dance for my mental vision. This was the most beautiful sight for me, having a musician's heart and soul was an eternity with the notes and his instrument something to long for. I tried to giggle, it result in a a coughing of dust and dryness. It scratched my lungs as I stepped into the door and got struck by the chilling and satisfying air. I opened my eyes slowly and saw a dark room in front of me. The nearly literally stroke its lean fingers against my cheek, I could feel it taking control over me for a moment and I let go of the woman's hand and wandered into the soft room. "Thank you miss...can you come here for a second?" I coughed and wobble forward over the floor while gesturing with my hand that she should come closer. As most human was was she curious and walked to my side with a curious smile. I stroke her soft cheek with my finger and smiled gently at her. What was going on inside her head was probably something else than what I was going to do, however one thing was she right about. I hugged her gently and began to touch her on different places to make her more comfortable. It usually helped when they stayed calm, rather than ran around in panic. Cadan would probably done it the other way I thought as my hand examined her well curved body. I didn't usually do this kind of stuff to my food, but I was desperate and needed something to regain my strength. I could feel her shivering of lust in my arms, this was going as planned as I kissed her on her neck and pulled down her small collar, showing her bare throat and neck. The woman moaned quietly and began to shiver even more. A smirk danced on my face as I exposed my predator fangs and they sank down into her neck. She reacted at once and began to struggle, but I was both much stronger than her and I already held her in a tight grip. I suck and suck her fresh blood, until I felt that it was enough. It wasn't a good idea to kill the woman, since the men inside the tavern would probably start to wonder were she was if she didn't show up after a few hours. I pulled out my fangs, leaving two deep marks on her neck and let her go. She fell down towards the floor with a thud and didn't move from the spot, not even shiver or something like that. I put my fingers against her throat to feel her pulse. "It's still there...good" I whispered for myself and lift up the girl, to lean her against the wall while sitting on the...that thing. Not until now did I realized the foul stench that the room was filled with. My hand darted at once to my nose, keeping the stench out from coming in and I left the outhouse. Brealyn sat inside the tavern quietly waiting for Nevyn's return. She hoped he was feeling better. She found it unwise for them to travel back until the night took over again so she made herself comfortable at a table sending Nicolette to get some drinks and food for herself. She ignored the strange looks people were giving her. She heard their comments "Why is a child in this place! Outrageous!" were some of the few. She would just smile sweetly and wave in their directions leaving them with scarlet faces of embarrassment. She leaned back in the chair wondering what Nevyn would do with the woman. A bit jealous that she was alone with him. She sighed and looked again at the door waiting for his return. Nicolette returned with drinks and food for her to eat and started to ramble about the history of the village Brealyn didn't pay attention at all not really caring what stupid place they were in since they all seemed to be the same after a while. Patients was not a virtue to her and she started to tap her little fingers on the table as she glared at the door. When Nevyn finally returned she would simply look back at Nicolette and smile sweetly like nothing was bothering her at all. |

I wept away whatever that could resemble blood from my mouth and entered the tavern again. Most of my powers had return, thanks to the young woman who had 'helped' me. Before I had entered had I pulled up the hood of my cloak, so that it would hide my face. This was the one of the sad things with being immortal, that you would be hunted as fast they got a glimpse of your face. I sighed slightly at the thought and gazed over the room for Brealyn and Nicolette, and found them. I now realized that it was that little girl who had helped me get some food to replenish me strength. My mouth formed into a soft smile as I walked into the noisy room with confident steps. "Thanks for the meal, Brealyn" I thanked the girl, without thinking of that I spoke in Vampair. It result with that I got some strange looks, but they shrugged and put me into the category of 'foreigners'. Which was a relief, now we could talk both our native, without someone caring about it. However, even I could hear their muttering about why a small girl was travelling with a dusty man like me, and some other things that isn't even worth mentioning. "Seeing a human village at the day is really something else. They aren't as drunk as I use to see them" I joked with the girl and grinned. This really was a new experience for me, since I would never been able to make this trip by myself. I looked around myself, watching the men that sat while telling each other rough jokes. They were much nicer than what they were when they were drunk, and their native wasn't swearing at this time. I laughed and once again turned couple of pairs of eyes against me, however this time did they stay put on me and Brealyn. It made me kinda uneasy, but if it became panic could I probably fight our way out. Just to meet the damn sun! it would drain me of my powers instantly I stepped outside that door. My fingers began to drum on the thick table in nervousness, this really was a new experience. "You two can eat...I just did" I grinned, but closed my mouth again since I noticed that my sharp teeth maybe would wake suspiciousness among the drinking men. Nevyn finally returned and she relaxed seeing that he was well. "I'm glad your feeling better" she replied as he thanked her and sat down. She thought it was sad he had to hide beneath the cloak she thought his vampire features were rather amazing and was sure many females would think so as well. "I don not need to eat right now thank you. We should leave when the night falls." she told him. She watched the people around them quietly. She felt a stranger staring at them unsure who it was and why they were looking at them "Nev..." She started to say something and then decided not to "Never mind.." she sat quietly letting Nicolette ramble so it looked like they were doing something. She looked down at her drink for a moment before looking up into Nevyn's crimson eyes she smiled wondering what was going on in his mind. |

I agreed with Brealyn's plan to leave when the night set, I didn't wanna go all the way back to Tenèbres in the sun. The way here was enough for an experience for me. I leaned back into the chair, with my fingers still drumming softly on the table. My mind began to wander of again, into the world of music and art. This had happen to me quite often lately, however I didn't complain about since I liked it. Just as my subconscious was in its way to form a new song for Nuit, woke I up from my dreamland. It seemed as if the little girl had said something, and I hadn't even listen on her. "What?" I asked Brealyn with a asking smile. I felt very nice today, and for the help to get here. However, she waved away the words and sat back into her chair. Now she had made me curious, so I eyed her for something that could give away what she just had tried to say. I failed. Brealyn looked into my eyes with a wondrous look in them. "Hm?" I simply asked her, maybe it was something in my face that could be blood. My hand moved by reflex to it and began to wipe out whatever it was. Some humans began to laugh and I faced them wondering what was fun, it seemed as if it was me they were laughing at. My face shaded more by the hood and I looked quietly down into the table. |

She smiled "You have nothing on your face. I was just wondering what you were thinking" she said as he reacted to her stare. She was getting bored of the tavern and the annoying people inside. She could only tolerate mortals for so long. Well except for Nicolette who knew when not to talk at all. "I hope it gets dark soon. This place is a bore." she said putting her elbows on the table and resting her chin in her hands. She sat quietly waiting for his response. |

Her answer for my questioning face and gesture made me a bit embarrassed. I lowered my hands and hid them under the table and I didn't have a 6th sense or eyes in my neck to know that the other customers behind me probably grinned and pointed at me. I felt ashamed for some reason I didn't quite understand. My fangs could be seen inside the shadow of the hood, the gleamed in irritation. I usually was the calm type that didn't make a fuss, whatever they called me or did to me. However this time, maybe it was cause I had company of a small and cute looking girl. The way she had spoken, made it feel as if I was the younger one. Although I was about 20 years older than her. "Nothing really" I answered her words with a bit stingy voice. "Well I've seen what I wanted...and the dark should probably set soon. Then we can leave..." I seconded her comment about the inn and leaned back in the chair, folding my arms. My finger began to drum softly on my arm as my eyes darted around the warm room. The men inside had began to get drunk, I could see it on their noses that had begun to turn red of all the alcohol. It looked quite fun and amused me, resulting my mouth being shaped in a smirk. "Did you come from a village like this one, Brealyn?" I asked right out from the blue. We had to do something while waiting for the sun to set so we could get back home to Tenèbres. A bit chit-chat always helped you understand your friend better anyway and I had been curious about it since I met her. Putting on a gentle smile, looked I into her blue eyes and I could nearly sense the boredom and irritation that they reflected. Maybe my question could make her feel a bit better. |

Brealyn listened to Nevyn talk. Then answered his question about where she was from "I was born in the basement of a mansion just like the one we are staying at in the middle of nowhere. My parents tried to keep me a secret. It didn't work. So as you can see I was cursed to age very slowly." she sighed remembering her past. The light began to fade outside and she got up to get out of the tavern and go back the way they came. "Ready?" she asked and began to head back. ~Exit!~ |
