I listen to music constantly while writing, and it sometimes gives me ideas. Other times, I hear a song and think OMG CHARACTER!

Alazne (you don't know her yet :P) has a theme song: Apres Moi by Regina Spektor.

Devoriar's theme song is Back in Black. It suits the movie more, but eh...

I'm thinking about posting a playlist to go along with each chapter... Big project though, the story is looking to be at least a hundred chapters long, cut into 3-4 pieces per chapter, switching between locations and characters. And yes, I've got ideas for a sequel as well. Can't just leave my awesome universe alone, now can I?

Remind me to thank all my friends again for throwing random music at me, shouting, "Hey, this is cool!" A friend turned me on to an Australian band called The Butterfly Effect, and their song "Worlds On Fire" neatly sums up Alazne's situation, placing it into a seven-minute nutshell. The lyrics, epic guitar melody, and harsh drums all come together and make me feel like it's the whole story's basic themesong.

Stand up, take a bow
You're leaving, so who's laughing now?
Just yourself, by yourself
No one else
There's no one else

Face the end
Walk out the door
You're leaving, giving up on us all
Just yourself, by yourself
No one else here who can help

Now you wake up time
So uninspired to face the world
The world's on fire
The world's on fire

Lay down, on the floor
It's over, you don't care anymore
Face yourself, by yourself
No one else here who can try

Now you wake up time
So uninspired to face the world
The world's on fire
The world's on fire

Wake up, wake up
To the world
The world's on fire
The world's on fire

When did we go wrong?
Fighting for so long
Where did we go wrong?
Fighting for so long

I didn't ask for this at all
But my back's against the wall
My face painted for war
I didn't ask for this at all

Are you all awake?
Are you all awake?
Are you all awake?
Are you all awake?

I didn't ask for this at all
With our backs against the wall
With our faces painted for war
I didn't ask for this for this
For this at all
