There are a lot of What Ifs in this world...Imagine how many there are in LOTR... What if Eowyn was the one to find the Ring? What if there were two Rings? What if Arwen had two sisters? What if Faramir was the favoured son? What if Boromir never died? What if Gandalf was always the White and Sarauman always the Black? What if you could travel to and from the Undying Lands? What if Theoden was Eomer's and Eowyn's father rather than Uncle? What if Theodred lived? What if hobbits knew about the Big Folk? All of these questions will be answered here right now. This is an Alternatue Universe RPG. In this RPG Eowyn, daughter of Theoden found one of the two Rings of Powers. One of these Rings did exactly as the original Ring of Power did in the books. It could turn one invisible to your kin but make you visible to Lord Sauron. The other Ring, the one that Frodo found in the Shire was the perfect Shield. Not even Sauron could find you if you wore that Ring. The catch with that Ring, it made you ill the longer you wore it. The Shield was made up of your own strength. Now if someone combined the Rings together then the disadvantages of the two Rings would cancel each other out. One would be able to sneak undetected into Mordor and destroy the two Rings and end Sauron's rule. But the problem was that the two Rings were seperated. It was when Lady Eowyn found the Ring and started using it that Theoden began to notice a change in his daughter. Concerned he contacted his old friend Mithrandir aka Gandalf who quickly discovered the true nature of Eowyn's ways. He took her with him to Rivendell for the Council of Elrond where the other Ring Bearer Frodo Baggins was waiting. The two rings were placed before them as they discussed how to deal with them. Eventually it was decided that the two Ring bearers should continue with the Ring and take them to Mordor. A fellowship was decided and Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Gandalf, Sam, Merry and Pippin and Arwen's youngest sister would accompany Eowyn and Frodo. There was uncertainty about the Halfling's ability to handle the Ring, there was even more concern about Eowyn after the mistake Isildur had made but Gandalf insisted that she was strong enough to resist. Meanwhile elsewhere in Middle Earth the elves began to head off to the Undying Lands and the Dwarves dug themselves deeper underground being careful not to disturb any more balrogs. Sauron and Saruman started to work together building their two armies up. The fellowship made their way through Caradras and headed towards Gondor. However a rather dangerous siting of an orc army drove them back up to the Misty Mountains. There they stayed in Moria. No one is quite sure what happened but the Fellowship had somehow split and its members came out at different times in different places. The four hobbits had somehow ended up together and so they decided to head through Mirkwood with Legolas who just happened to be with them at the time. Gimli had somehow ended up with Arwen's sister as they ended up further below the ground than ever before. Gandalf, Boromir, Aragorn and Eowyn decided that they had to head for the woods of Lothlorien. The Fellowship has split and the journey really begins. There is still danger of more splits to come and decisions must be made especially as there are now two Rings of Power to hide from the Nazgul. And there is still Golllum. The question about him is which ring does he want? Which one lays a claim over his sanity? Come along and join the adventure and decide the fate of Middle Earth? Will you join the Free Peoples or hunt them? Find out Where the Road Leads Edited by Princess Eowyn, Sep 14 2008, 02:36 AM.
