Submission Rules So you want to submit an article to Warzone (the future greatest Wargaming Magazine on the Web:P), then it is very important that you carefully read through this thread first before you submit an article. 1. Does the article you want to submit meet all of the criteria laid out in the text in the Article Submission Guidelines below? If the answer is no, then do not submit it as it will be rejected. You need to go back and make any amendments needed to meet the criteria before submitting the work. 2. If the answer is yes, than please feel free to submit the article into the submission system, but please be patient, the proofreaders are very busy, and they will get around to your article in due course. 3. Remember this though, failure to comply with any and all of the guidelines will end up with your article being rejected, end of story, so you have been warned. Duplicated articles will be rejected. 8. Do not copy work or idea's from another source, or re-write an existing article on Warzone and then submit it as your own work. Warzone will look at suspending or even banning your site membership if you Plagiarise work form another company, web site or member. Intellectual Copyright Issues (yes, GW does have Intellectual Copyright benefits) 1. Any article that features a guide on how to copy or reproduce Games Workshop's, (or any other companies for that matter), property, be it a whole miniature or any component part thereof, will be rejected. By accepting such articles both the author and Warzone would be in clear breach of GW's legal policy regards their property and Intellectual Copyright. GW and New Line Cinema would be well within their legal rights to seek damages from the author and Warzone, and could force the website to be shut down as a result. 2. Using parts of original GW models to make conversions is allowed, on provision that, the conversion itself is not then copied and reproduced or distributed. 3. Images. Members are not allowed to use any copyrighted GW images in their articles, unless the article is a review, then a GW copyright statement MUST be used on each and every picture included, failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the article being rejected. All rights reserved. 4. Please note that the above terms and conditions are applicable to all similar companies products and their Intellectual Copyright, and are not limited to Games Workshop products and images. A NOTE ON IMAGES Many members have trouble uploading images, this is generally because they are to large. Reduce the image width to 600 pixels using your photo software, this can be found by looking through the programs drop-down lists, if you can't find it then use your programs 'help' function. -AFG// |
