That smoke effect was not needed really. It made the action look slow. Also try actually doing ft placement for once. If you notice in every frame he was in a different spot on the ground. And that start wasn't the best way to go with the physics your'e trying to pull off.

like i said on msn. try to start practicing your footplacement, it will make your animations so much more realistic :3 also try to ease your movement more. practice this and i assure you, you will improve lots :D

Maybe just go waaaaaayyyy back to the basics and try the ball exercise.

This one, this is the bad one, the ball suddenly takes of and suddenly stops. there is no momentum and build up.

This one is OK, ive eased the build up and slow down |-|--|---|-----|



yeah they both look silly but its an example. Now just apply this to regular movements.
