http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/ It's a great MMORPG to play. The graphics are anime-like, with a 3d-ish background. Character list- http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/game/jobintro.asp Those are all the jobs you can be. You start out as a novice, and once you get enough levels you can change your profession into any of the 1st job classes. Once you reach a certain level then, your job can upgrade into either the 2-1 job classes or the 2-2 jobs. (Example: A swordsman can choose to become either a Knight or a Crusader. A Merchant can become a Blacksmith or an Alchemist) Every class has it's own strengths, weaknesses, and skills. For example, Swordsmans learn skills that can deal high physical damage, make you heal faster, or damage mobs of enemies with one attack. Mages learn spells that deal extremely high damage. Merchants learn skills that can let you sell items for more money and reduce the price of buying things. etc etc etc... The game also has a built in Guild system. Whoever gets an Emperium item can make their own Guild, with it's own name (which displays under your character), and emblem (which also displays under your character). Guilds can recruit other members, and on certain days of the week, an event called "Wars of Emperium" happens. WoE is when all the Guilds in the server can fight each other for control over some Castles. You'll have to fight your way into the heart of the castle, and break its Emperium to take control of it. WoE lasts for an hour or two, and if your guild controls a Castle at the end of WoE, that castle is yours until the next WoE happens. It's a pretty fun pvp game. At first, its kind've hard to get used to the game...theres alot of things you have to learn about what things to fight to level up, and what quests to do. Thankfully, theres a help site for that :3. http://irowiki.org/wiki/Main_Page That site has a database on pretty much everything in this game, and helpful guides to level up your character, etc. I've been playing it off and on for awhile now. It's a fun game. Right now, I have a high leveled Wizard, a High-leveled Assassin, and a mid-leveled Knight. So, if any of you want to start playing this game, I could get on sometimes to help you out a bit. The game has two servers...the premium server, Ymir, and the free-to-play server, Valkyrie. Both server types are included in the "full-download". |

looks alright, but I don't really care for the style of the character sprites too much. Looks like RPG maker or FF Tactics original graphics, lol I think I'll stay with DFO for now, but out of curiosity, whats the combat/gameplay like? |

You click to attack normally. The character will move in range of the monster you're going to attack and it will keep attacking until you click elsewhere, it dies, or you die. Every character has skills though, which you can put on hotkeys (F1-F9). Skills like making a small explosion, poisoning an enemy, using a multiple-hit attack (like the assassin's Sonic Blow skill, which hits 8 times at once), or if you're a mage, you can use magic to attack. There are non-attack skills, like the Priest's Blessing skill (Adds +10 points to strength, magic, and dexterity for the duration of the blessing, which can give a major damage boost to anyone) and the assassin's cloaking skill (Turns you invisible and undetectable except by boss enemies and insect monsters.) |

ah, thought it was something like that, actually looked up a video about it to see if was worth looking into, unfortunately doesn't seem all that great to me. Combat seems rather simple and somewhat bland, especially compared to DFO, lol. But then again that kinda gameplay may be more ideal for some people, since DFO is a more skill/action based game where Ragnarok seems more like a stats/strategy type game |
