Welcome to ``waiting for {MIDNIGHT;;}! We hope you enjoy your visit.
Here at Waiting for Midnight, or WFM, we strive to be a literate(intermediate-advanced), active, and most of all, fun Modern Day Greek Mythology Role Play. The concept of our site is based of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, with a few deviations throughout: Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon have fallen into a three-sided war, and their demigod children (as well as many minor gods, and even a few monsters) are forced to choose sides.

``waiting for {MIDNIGHT;;} Site Rules
I'll try to keep these as short as possible... Just make sure that you read them all, as they contain very important information to playing here at WFM. They're not in any particular order, save for registration, which should obviously come first.

``registration
- Please register with the name of the character you intend to roleplay. Hence, your name should be something along the lines of "Bradley Dempster", rather than "buttonkittysexi1". Not only are names like that annoying, but they diminish the value of a first impression, in my opinion. your favorite christmas carol
- Waiting for Midnight is an account-per-character RP site, rather than an account-per-player. This means that, if the case may be that you decide (and are eligible) to make a secondary or tertiary character, you should make seperate accounts for them, using the desired name as the username.
- Please use a valid email adress when registering for our Role Play. This will be used to verify your account, so it is necessary, and the admin(s) may find it necessary to get in contact with you through email every now and then.
- To avoid having spambots and inactive accounts, any accounts that have registered but have yet to post (either an Introduction or an Application) will be deleted. This is an unfortunate rule, but necessary. If you wish to remake your account, that is absolutely fine, as long as you stay active.
- Similarly to the aforementioned rule, any accounts that have been absent without a post in the Departures forum after one month will be deleted. PM me if you would like an exception to be made to this rule.
- And last but not least of the Registration rules, please stick to the given application format. If you deem it necessary, we don't mind if you jazz it up a bit, but make sure all the required fields are there in the proper order.

``graphics
- For each account/character, you must have a 200 x 200 pixels avatar representing your character. This is a must have, as not only are avatars useful for quick identification, but make the site looks nice. =D
- The avatar must be a representation of your character, or rather your character's play-by. It doesn't have to be a cropped facial shot, but you should neat be visible (no full body shots that leave the characters face impossible to discern) your favorite fruit.
- I'm sorry, but no outside avatars will be allowed. This means that you may not have your character as an anime character, animal, or anything other of the off-topic sort.
- No distracting avatars or signatures: namely, no flashing, blinking images, or videos. Of course, no pornography is allowed anywhere on the board, especially not in member avatars or signatures.
- Though signatures are not required, it is recommended you have one for further representation of your character. Signatures may be any size, but no bigger than 500 x 250. Signatures allow much more leeway; the image doesn't even have to be related to your character.
- No advertisements to any other sites may be placed in signatures or avatars. Failure to obey this rule will result in a warning PM on the first offense, a warning PM and short term ban on the second, and on the third a permanent/long ban (3 months +).

``roleplaying rules
- Though there is no word requirement for posts here at WFM, there is a paragraph limit: Each post must have at very minimum three paragraphs containing at least five sentences.
- There is no maximum; post a novel if you wish, just so long as it is relevant and not full of jibberish. ;D
- Any and all mature topics must be appropriately marked with a {Mature} tag in the Topic Title.
- Again, the rating here is mature, but not rated X; please, take roleplaying out graphic sex scenes and horribly garish murders to your own devices.
- Please have read all of the rules before posting. This cannot be stressed enough. your favorite band
- No god-modding (creating an all powerful character), power playing (controlling other characters in your character's favor), or metagaming (using information you know OOC to affect an IC situation... eg. plot spoilers) are allowed at WFM. Failure to obey will result in the same consequences as posting pornography or a blinking avatar.
- Be creative with characters; no Mary Sues or Gary Stus are allowed.
- It is recommended that you post with your character(s) at least once or twice a week to keep up activity.
