| Article I: User Accounts / IP Sharing User Data Protection & Safety Users are required to maintain only a SINGLE account to access the site, per person. • Users detected to be using IP hiding software or maintaining multiple user accounts without permission from the administration may be banned. • Multiple accounts sharing same IP (and have not notified us) will be penalized despite being seperate entities created by multiple people. Article II: Communication/Interaction Etiquette Native Language WCE is generally an ENGLISH speaking audience. o Any language MAY be spoken, most of us tech-savvy use browser translators by this point. • However, nobody may communicate using 1337 / Web-Speak. Pornography The posting and/or linking of pornographic content is in violation of multiple terms of use policies. • Violators will be banned PERMANENTLY. Other Offensive Material Posting of hateful, threatening, and/or discriminatory is barred. • Violators will be punished severely. Flaming Deliberate hostility may not be posted under any circumstances. • Flaming should be reported if witnessed; punishment may vary. Trolling The act of posting inflammatory messages is not permitted. • Any user not partaking in discussions in a creative and positive manner will be warned and dealt with. Post Count / Warn Level Threads • Do not create threads about your own or others post counts or warn levels. Double Posting Please refrain from double posting in threads or making two of the same topic. • We have an edit button for your convienient use. • If you accidently double post, please delete it before we have to. Necro Posting The act of posting in a topic that is extremely outdated is unnacceptable for a few reasons. • Do not post in a topic that has been inactive for over 6 MONTHS. • Odds are, if you are attempting to provoke a response from an original poster, they may or may not even be around at that time. There are more optimal ways to ask about something by using the proper forums to post your inquery. o Exempt to this rule are "Pinned" topics, normally at the top of any forum, which is where most active/new topics are located anyhow. Thread Bumping To bump a thread on an Internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads. • You may bump your own threads. • Threads bumps must include new updates or "vital information", not just a word or vague comment. • Threads should not be bumped within 48 hours of the most recent post. • Posts that violate these rules may be deleted without warning. • Threads that consistently violate these rules may be closed after the author has been warned. Spamming/Advertising • Spam is posting irrelevant/meaningless messages. • Spamming of posts or threads may be closed or deleted at any time, without warning. • Do not advertise products you, specifically, advocate. This will result in a ban. o If you wish to advertise your site, there is a designated area for you to do so. o If you are looking for a site affiliation, we have a program you may partake in. Username Changes Users may request that their account name be changed by messaging an admin. •The proposed new name must not presently be in use. • Users must have no warns and the administration shall judge each case on an individual basis. • Users may change their name once within a month. User Titles Users may create their own custom titles in their User CP (20 posts). • Custom titles are displayed in profiles and all forum posts. • Custom user titles must comply with all site rules. User Avatars All users may employ custom avatars to be displayed in their profile. • No avatar may violate any site rule. o Users may upload their own custom avatar. • No avatar may imitate or simulate any website rank image. • Avatars/Users that violate these guidelines will be deleted without notice. User Signatures The forum permits members to use custom signature files in their forum posts and private messages. • All user signatures must comply with all rules. • No signature file may violate any of WCE's site rules. • Signatures found to be in violation of these rules may be deleted at any time, without warning. Article III: Legalities And Important Jargon Software Piracy WCE doesn't condone, encourage, support or tolerate the use of any appz, cracks, hacks, spoofers, torrents, warez or any other type of bootleg, illegal or pirated software (or techniques). • Posting of such material is barred unless pre-approved for use by WCE's Administration. • Posts or threads referring to these subjects may be deleted. o Posting Emulators and/or ROMs of games that used extensively by this community are allowed to some extent in already available and clearly designated areas of the site. *Notice: You are allowed by LAW to post a ROM(s) of game(s) you actually own. You may download and "test play" any ROM for up to 24 hours before neccessary deletion required by LAW. Real World Trading • Simply put, this website is not a mandated marketplace. • Offering or soliciting items for sale or trade is disallowed. Mod Terms Of Release, Recommendations and Rules (Terms) WCE is a modding community for various wrestling games, with the main focus being WWF: no mercy. Therefore, you are encouraged to post your mods and previews of any works in progress for any of the games that are supported here for constructive criticism. Don't forget the criticism isn't meant to be rude, simply enlightenment from a variable perspective. You are not allowed to post links to other people's mods without proper credits, nor attempt to claim their work as your own. WCE's views on this are as follows below: • We do NOT care about "permissions". Our reasons become clearer as you continue. • We do NOT condone or cater to "hoarding". We are an open community that does NOT steal from anyone. • We will "re-release" anything we find that has been released into the public domain.
