The damage gets more... damaging, the higher the level you are ;) There's more standard cars being turned into premium cars in future updates, I believe.

One thing I fucking hate is the way the second hand cars are random and it's the only way to get them. I'm currently waiting for a god damn mother fucking pick up truck to show up so I can finish the amateur races. Don't suppose anyone has one that they fancy gifting me? I'll send it back after and probably with some mods too (if you can give cars back).

The lack of damage lower down is also disappointing (haven't actually got far enough to unlock it yet), it makes it easy to get used to ramming the other drivers when you're desperate, instead of forcing you to drive properly.

Strangely I don't find the lack of mods on the standard cars to be much of a problem, I don't seem to spend as much time on the looks of them as I did on Forza and instead find it more fun to actually drive the cars (maybe that says something about Forza being boring).

I have a Ford Lightning I may be able to share, as I see no other use for it now that I finished the Sport Truck races.
Just found out today that the damage can be quite severe (at least cosmetically) when some f**ker in a Gallardo push your mint '70 Charger into the wall at 200 mph on Daytona :P Did not affect performance much though.... I'm level 16.

That'd be cool, add me, The-Ran24

Are there any other races that needs trucks apart from the amateur one? If I need to keep it I could always trade something for it.

I'll add you later, not sure if I'll be on tonight because of the new-year celebration. I can't remember seeing any other use for it, but I haven't opened the highest level yet. Could be good for drifting maybe, and there are always online races too. I would trade it for something British and lightweight if you have something ( I allready have both the old and new Mini)
PS, it's almost un-modified except for a de-cat, race-filter and chip I think...
Aaand, edit nr 2: -There are a **ll of a lot of races that require you to buy and tune one car, just so you can win the same (or similar) car on completion, just like GT4, which gets hella-annoying after a while....

The only light British one I have (except for the old Mini) is the newest Elise (07 I think) and done up a little bit, about 220bhp and lost about 100 kilos iirc. Do you need it for one of the later races? If so I'll need to keep hold of it, but I could loan it for the truck and then we'll swap back once you're done with it.

I think I only need it for one race yes, so you can have it right back after I'm finished, maybe even with more mods If I need to, the 61 E-type was too slow with 400 hp...

How did that truck work out for you Kieran? And btw I managed with the E-type anyways, just needed a fully customizable transmission.
And 'yeehaa' everyone :)

I haven't been on yet, cheers for sending it though.

I've fucked up pretty bad, I wanted to do the Ferrari race but didn't have enough for an Enzo, then I remember I had my 355 from earlier so thought I'd that fucker up instead. I figured it'd end up raping the Enzo, but it was the other way round, shit even 360s and 430s were kicking my arse. So, I've ended up wasting probably close to half a million on a piece of shit that can't beat cars half it's price, and I can barely get 80k by selling it. That's another thing that pisses me off, the cars are worth fucka ll when you sell them so you end up keeping every last fucker in case it comes in handy later on.

You should have bought the 430 ;) (I did, and I love it to bits) Well, GT has always been about wasting money on cars that are useless in the end. One thing I've learned is to try and find the car that fits as many races as possible, if you know you have to do a bunch of MR races and turbo races, and there is a race for 90's jap cars, try to find a jap MR car that can be fitted with a turbo (well, if possible) That way you waste a lot less money. And another thing I do, is always start with the Corolla/Trueno ae86. It's a lovely car for all the early easier races and even if it lacks some power it's really easy to drive. Fwd cars are only for 'one brand races'. After I've earned some money in the Corolla I get a 'muscle car' which usually means the exact opposite of the Ae86, a lot of power but hard to drive. This time it was the Buick GnX and later the 70 Charger in the pic above. You can usually win quite a few races wit brute force alone. And old FR cars usually can enter a lot of different races. After that you need to get serious. There are just a few cars in T5 that can have the race modification, they are mostly all worth it (well, except the fwd and microcars). the list is 'googleable'
