buy a fix kit (few screws and some washers)
Go on youtube and there should be a very good 2 part video from some black dude on how to fix rrod, you can order the fix kits from a link in the description.

Most of the time they're not permanent, and it definitely won't be now he's done the towel trick. Using the towel purposely overheats the console so the solder joints on the GPU move back into position, but over time they will shift again and the console will go kaput. Those kits are only really much use in the early stages of overheating, sometimes they can hold it in position, but you also have the possibility of breaking shit through over tightening. For a proper permanent fix you need the GPU resoldered, using a re-flow station that costs many hundreds of pounds.

Your best bet is to contact Microsoft, there's a chance the issue won't be covered by a warranty but they'll give you a quote to fix it which should be cheaper than a new console.

or do what i said lol. Half the time it;s not the solder coming loose, you'd need a lot of heat for that, the main case is the motherboard bends over time.
In the fixing tutorial when you put it back together you remove the x clamps and use rubber washers to give it more room to bend and reset to its original shape.

You don't actually need much heat for the solder joints to go and fuck themselves. They were shittily made, all cracked and misaligned and combined with the overheating they just ceased to work.

Photoshoper has a point a large part of it was down to the X-Clamps which when the board gets warm it will warp.. That and soft solder = broken
