Ok guys, we're taking a step into more hardcore progression and we're changing a few things for the better. First off, I'd like everyone to try to take more interest in the guild website, which is why I'm posting these here. First change, and the biggest one, is our loot/raid attendance policy. Keep in mind this takes a bit of explaining and if you have questions feel free to get in vent with me and talk. Each raid period is a block of two weeks (8 raid days). Your loot for the week depends on raid days you attend, to a point. A "member" status is 4 or less raid days attended per block. A "raider" status is 5-6 days attended per block. Finally, a "core raider" is 7-8 raid days attended per block. A "member" rolls for their loot out of 100, a normal roll. a "raider" rolls out of 125, slightly higher, and a "core raider" rolls out of 150, even higher. The reason for this is to encourage raid attendance, as well as give members that raid more often a higher chance at loot. Now, don't get your panties in a wad, if you sign up and you are online for the entire raid, or somewhere where we can contact you, it counts as an attended raid day. However, leaving halfway through will count as a raid day, though you are causing quite a bit of downtime in a raid, however, don't expect a first in line spot the next day. Also, someone needs to be online to replace you, otherwise it will not count as a raid day. Every two weeks, based upon your raid attendance which the officers keep track of, you will be promoted/demoted depending upon how many raid days you make. For the next two weeks, you will roll your respective number, until promoted/demoted after the two week block. The first block begins this Thursday, the 24th. Due to progression purposes, we are choosing to recruit more members to fill our raids, as we have had a difficult time finding 10 members per night to raid with. To deal with this, we will have a "wait list" every raid night. If you are on the wait list all night without a raid spot, but you are online on an alt or even just in vent so we can contact you, it counts as a full raid night, increasing your attendance. The reason we are needing to recruit more is simple, I don't expect people to make 8 raid days per block. To deal with this, we need to know that we can fill at least 10 people every night, and lately this has been an issue. The wait list is a fair opportunity for every member to get a spot. We will have blocks within the wait list. For instance, it isn't a race to whisper me first, that's unfair. We will be discussing the wait list in officer chat throughout the raid and depending upon who leaves or what class is needed for specific downings, we will replace with certain classes/people off of the wait list. What we want to stress is that officers get NO special treatment. They are on the wait list just like everyone else if they are late or because of other means, and we will use the same loot rules as the rest of the guild. Our guild is a democracy, we want to keep it that way. Now, don't get scared that we're going to get a stick up our asses and start being elitist tards, we still want to keep our raid environment, and have an awesome time in guild and during raids, however, we ask that we can keep the AFK's out of raids except at our said "AFK times." Which we will start announcing in about hour and a half to two hour intervals per raid. We'll let you know how long each AFK time is and you're expected to be back on time. If you aren't back within 5 minutes of the AFK time, expect to be replaced by someone on the wait list. Also, if an unexpected AFK is needed during a raid, expect to be replaced after 6-7 minutes after going AFK. Also, if you go AFK between boss attempts for more than 2-3 minutes, expect to be replaced. The reason we're instituting this rule is to increase raid performance and increase raid concentration. After someone returns from a long AFK, our concentration is broken, especially between boss attempts. Also, please do not mess around during boss attempts, messing around during trash and laughing in vent is encouraged, but during boss attempts please just listen up and be attentive, as this will decrease down time. The officers think that this is a great step for us to take as far as guild progression goes. We think it will decrease the frustration in our raids that we've seen lately, especially when wiping on new progression. We have to remember progression takes time, especially the new hard modes we're doing. Thanks guize
