Charles, Camilla change wedding venue

Prince Charles and fiancee Camilla Parker Valentino Shoes Sale Bowles have dropped Windsor Castle as their April wedding venue and have opted for Windsor's town hall instead.

It was decided that licensing the royal palace for a civil wedding would cause too much disruption, and Windsor's Guildhall would allow the public to see the newlyweds arrive and leave, said Clarence House, Prince Charles' office.

Ms Parker Bowles has chosen London-based fashion duo Robinson Valentine to design her outfit for the April 8 wedding, and top society milliner Philip Treacy to design her hat, the office added.

Some commentators had previously doubted the wisdom of holding the civil ceremony at Windsor Castle, the royal family's home just west of London.

Under British law, a wide range of buildings can be licensed to hold civil weddings.

However, the 1994 Marriage Act rules that such venues must then be made "regularly available" for other couples' marriages for at least three years Valentino Shoes - raising the possibility of hundreds of Britons applying to wed at the royal residence.

There were "a number of issues" connected to licensing Windsor Castle for a wedding, a Clarence House spokesman said.

"It would have meant that the rooms which are normally open to the public would have to be closed numerous times," he said.

"Thousands of people visit the castle each year. A licence is not just http://www.valentinovip.com/ for one event."

The Guildhall is a handsome late 17th century building in the centre of Windsor which serves as its town hall.

The royal couple are holding a civil ceremony followed by a chapel blessing, as under Church of England rules, divorced couples are not permitted to re-marry in church.

When he succeeds the throne, Charles will be the official head of the church.

His marriage to the late Princess Diana formally ended in divorce in 1996, a year before she was killed in a car crash in Paris.

Ms Parker Bowles was married to army officer Andrew Parker Bowles, before also separating.

Her relationship with Charles has proved controversial with the British public over the years, largely because the hugely popular Diana publicly blamed the couple's closeness for wrecking her marriage.
