OOC Info: Name/Alias: Daddy Longlegs Gender: Contact Information: PM Other Characters: Are you sure you read all the rules?: When he goes vampire-slaying, the headmaster always wears his best dress and make-up. He likes to feel pretty while hunting for monsters in the sewers.
IC Description:
Name: Iroazayaka Tsukuumo {色鮮やか - Clear, brilliant color} Alias/Nickname: codename: Kishikaise {起死回生} - The Resuscitator nickname: Tsukuumoo / MooMoo (childhood nickname from Demi and Lye) Age: 19 Gender: Female Race and Level: Hunter Status: Day Class Student
Appearance: Tsukuumo is 5'5", and has been that height since she was about 14. Just as most girls do, she stopped growing at this age, and had to live through watching her older brother shoot up far past her. She weighs only 51kg, so she is often classified as 'underweight' by her family doctor. However, she likes to contest this fact very often, blaming her genes. In reality, Tsukuumo just has a fast metabolism; this fact, combined with her never-ending Hunter training results in a near-impossibility in gaining weight. Her frame is thin, her build slim. Other Hunters often liken her to a yew bow, flexible and slender, taut and lethal. While her hobby of dance keeps her limber, she can be extremely clumsy at times-when she is embarrassed. This habit is indeed dangerous, especially for a Hunter, but Tsukuumo has learned to control her inner turmoil--to a degree.
Tsukuumo has long, auburn locks that hang to the middle of her back. She used to keep her hair relatively short when she was young, as long hair made for excellent leverage by enemies during training. However, as she quickly approached puberty, Tsukuumo expressed a desire to look more like the other members of her sex; the various noble vampires that she gradually encountered did not help her self image at all. Her prominent features are highlighted by her light gray eyes. With dim lighting, her eyes can look silver. They hide nothing, and look at people with conviction. She does have lashes slightly longer than her friends, but it's not so much as to provide a sultry effect. Rather, it seems like a feminine touch to those willful eyes. A smooth brow lies above those eyes, often framed by pieces of hair that hang to the side of her face. She frequently smoothes those bangs, as if she has just cut them, when she is thinking. It is another quirk of hers that she wants to eliminate from her personality altogether. It's dangerous to stand out, more dangerous to be remembered.
As a righty, Tsukuumo sees herself as rather conventional. Her wardrobe is full of useful clothing that veers more on the side of male. However, she actually loves feminine clothing, such as knee-length skirts and flowery blouses. In accordance with the understated starkness of her Hunter upbringing, the severity of the Cross Academy uniform is a welcome respite for her. (She, however much she secretly loves feminine clothes, is still embarrassed at the extremely feminine Cross Academy uniforms. She isn't used to revealing so much skin, and often takes to wearing track pants under her skirt--she's on the track team.) She was always the one to condone the use of uniforms in school to maintain a unified school atmosphere. Tsukuumo loved that the Academy would be a place governed harshly by rules; she was used to rules and boundaries. Thankfully, she has not completely fallen to the stereotyping of Japanese schoolgirls, with their short skirts and large glasses. Tsukuumo's eyes are good enough that she does not need any glasses, or contact lenses. She does have a pair of green lenses and a black wig in the bottom of her suitcase, for those times when she wants to be alone--she especially enjoys wearing them during her Hunter outings. It helps her become more ruthless, agile, and mysterious (or so she thinks).
During her Hunting duties, Tsukuumo's outfit of choice is slightly feminine, but not so much as to hinder her actions. She likes to wear a creamy cotton blouse with ballooned shoulders, buttoning at the arms. Over that goes a black corset, laced up to the bottom of her breasts, two straps connected to her shoulders. Striped trousers go on the bottom, reaching to her knees, and leather stockings follow, accented by brass buttons and leather straps. Brown leather booties complete the look--the heels are only 1.5 inches. She never forgets to put on her black gloves that reach all the way to the top of her arms, not revealing any skin. Gold details edge the gloves. When she remembers, she'll also put on a black skinny tie, but that's just being frivolous, and usually, Demi and Lye get impatient when she takes too long to dress. It's been a relatively new development for her--to dress nicely and do other 'girl' things--so she supposes they aren't used to it.
Personality: Tsukuumo is a staunch feminist, unafraid to speak her mind when necessary. As a little girl, she used to idolize Sailor Moon and her super bad-guys-butt-kicking skills. Of course, this was all based upon one episode that she was permitted to watch before she was bundled off to study under the famous Hunter Kogane Shin. However, she secretly set Sailor Moon as her role model, until a later analysis during her later years--through a lone magazine left carelessly in the library by a visitor to Kogane-sensei revealed a shocking truth. Sailor Moon was simply a product of her more than capable friends and a royal lineage! It was not the rags-to-riches story that she dreamt of as a child. Now, her current idol is Florence Nightingale. Nightingale epitomizes everything that Tsukuumo aspires to be-independence, inner strength, leadership, and most of all, unconventional wisdom.
At odds with the hard exterior she exudes, Tsukuumo is a romantic at heart. Her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice; she believes that someday, her very own Mr. Darcy will come to sweep her off her feet. There lies the paradox in her personality. While she puts up an exterior of feminine strength and independence, she loves having someone to rely on, be it a friend or a lover. Demi and Lye, her two best friends, have fulfilled the rolls until now; they are all in the process of becoming adults now, and while she has no problem with discussing her feminine problems with them, she realizes that she cannot do this forever. Eventually, they will grow up and find companions of their own, and have children. She must find her companion before they do, so she won't be alone. Because she grew up without parents, Tsukuumo has a fear of being left behind. Although too young to actually remember the moment of her arrival at Kogane-sensei's house and her parents' departure, the piercing longing and sadness has remained, and still permeates her perception of her parents.
She cares less about the physical exterior of people, although she admits that it does influence her perception of people.
Tsukuumo loves to converse on anything in general. Tsukuumo loves a good argument, and is particularly delighted when her conversational partner can keep up with her verbal jabs. She can be blunt and matter-of-fact to the point that it irritates people.
Other Information: ღ Tsukuumo has a mild case of attachment disorder due to her separation from her parents as a toddler. She gets anxious when she does not see or talk to Lye or Demi for extended periods of time. ღ Tsukuumo always says this particular phrase before she terminates a target: "And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die." a line from the poem 'Death Be Not Proud' by John Donne. She considers vampires as the embodiment of death, and when a vampire goes rampant, such as in the cast of a level E, it has overstepped its boundaries and thus must die, even if it be originally an 'immortal' creature.
IC Background:
Biography: "It's a dangerous business, stepping outside your front door. You never know where you might get swept off to." So her grandfather says often. The Iroazayaka clan used to be, traditionally, a roaming hunter clan. Never settling in one place, they would silently take care of the mission at hand and disappear off to another place. The first Iroazayaka to settle down was Tsukuumo's grandfather, who had tired of the nomadic lifestyle when the corners of the map were being filled in. It was harder and harder to go about unnoticed, even with the aid of the Association. Everything was being documented and accounted for. Iroazayaka Shunji thus came to embrace the sedentary lifestyle, purchasing for himself a small homestead in the newly created Kiyokawa village, and became the village's resident hunter. However, his son, Iroazayaka Asato, could not fully commit himself to a sedentary lifestyle. Although he had never experienced a nomadic life, Asato felt the road call out to him, to take him beyond the slow-moving lifestyle of the country village in which he grew up. He moved to Tokyo as soon as he was old enough, and there, met Tachisabaki Meyane, a young hunter of another prominent clan. She, too, had been stricken with wanderlust and had moved to the city from her ancestral home in Kyoto. They were married shortly and settled for a brief period of time in Tokyo to raise their new son. By their second child, however, they were once again called to travel. They chose to move to the United States, and left their five-year-old son and their two-year-old daughter in the care of close colleagues. It never occurred to them that parents usually did not leave their children to fend for themselves until they were old enough.
Tsukuumo was thus deprived of a parental figure from the onset. She grew up like a normal human child at her grandparents' home until the age of seven, when she was taken to the hunter Kogane Shin for formal instruction as a hunter. Although a bright and talkative child at the Iroazayaka home, she had learned to be grim and responsible at the Tachisabaki home, and thus did not cry when her grandparents left her at the doorstep of a home that she did not know.
"Till this moment I never knew myself." Special. That was the initial impression of Kogane-sensei's two students. She had never met two so alike, yet so different. Demi was immediately friendly, letting her into the house even though it was in the wee hours of morning when her grandparents had dropped her off. After she gave the letter of introduction to sensei -- of course, she had been expected -- he took her around the house. He was like the brother she had always wished to have. Sure, Len was there, but he was distant, having grown up too quickly in their parents' absence. Tsukuumo immediately took to Demi and his friendly demeanor.
Lye was the big anomaly in the ideal picture that Kogane-sensei and Demi presented to her. Whilst everyone enjoyed themselves, Lye was always just there, silent like a shadow that absorbed anything that came his way. At first it unnerved her, and to rid herself of the feeling, Tsukuumo pestered Lye with talk. She would ask him questions about anything, everything that came to her mind, in an attempt to have him open up some more. How could he be so detached all the time? It was simply mystifying. It didn't take her long, however, to figure out that perhaps Demi's warnings weren't just for show. It took just one trip to the woods -- trailing a silent Lye to his natural habitat in which he trained -- for her to develop a healthy fear of the older boy and accordingly stay out of his way.
"The time will come, the time will not be long in coming, when new ties are formed about you." The big test came at the tender age of nine. Tsukuumo had already mastered several close-combat techniques and was only beginning to move on to bladed weapons. The slow pace was something that she had personally insisted on; although she had not said anything to explain herself, she had already begun to think of Demi and Lye as her irreplaceable companions and did not think that she had to rush to catch up to them, not when they were already so far ahead of her. Sure, there was an intangible rivalry always present during training sessions, but she satisfied herself with the thought that with the slower, more thorough training, she could discover new ways to exploit her smaller size and nimbler frame when sparring with opponents.
Her rifle was acquired just a year previously -- not without much hassle -- and she had just begun to fully explore its more destructive capabilities. She was ecstatic when Kogane-sensei finally informed them of the official mission. Demi and she had been looking forward to this occasion for months, knowing that at least with the two of them, they could take out a stupid level E without much trouble. Lye? He could probably take on several by himself, and would be one less person to watch during a fight.
When she had learned that it'd be just two level E's that they'd mop up, she couldn't hide her disappointment. The job would be a piece of cake for Lye alone, Tsukuumo thought, and muttered so to Demi as the trio traveled to the ravaged town. Upon arrival, all her misgivings and disappointment vanished, replaced with a painful ache. How could two mindless beings create such rampant destruction? They were once humans, too, and still they had not discriminated in their slaughter. Remains of personal belongings could still be seen amid the ruins, signs of frantic packing and hasty leaving. It was eerily quiet. The silence was punctuated only by the sound of soft breathing -- a noise that she soon realized was coming from herself. She hurriedly covered her mouth as she quickly glanced at the two older boys. They paid no attention to her as they picked their way through the debris.
Ground Zero -- was the name that she had automatically given the town square at which the three trainees would eliminate the targets. The two level E's had supposedly taken up residence there. Tsukuumo couldn't fathom why; it just seemed like a barren stretch of ground, the statue in the middle long reduced to chunks of marble. As soon as Lye took the first step -- always a little ahead of the other two -- Tsukuumo immediately understood why. The square was surrounded by a wall of pillared buildings from which the level E's could launch surprise attacks from.
She saw a shadow dart at Lye, and opened her mouth to shout a warning when something slammed into her side, almost knocking the wind out of her. Tsukuumo lurched to the side, dropped, and rolled so that she could steady herself on foot once more. As she rose, she saw that it was Demi that had pushed her aside from the path of a level E. It was a truly hideous sight to see, a barely humanoid form, fragments of cloth still clinging to its skin, hissing and clawing at her two friends.
She raised her rifle to her shoulders and carefully aimed a shot, placing a silver bullet in the shoulder of the level E that was attacking Demi.
"Tch.." She bit her lip and quickly loaded another silver bullet into the rifle. She hated moving targets, and it didn't help that Demi was flashing about everywhere. She raised the rifle once more.
"Keep a steady hand..." She murmured to herself, and was about to take another shot when she heard the light clink of a pebble behind her. The telltale noise was just enough to let her spin around and block a swipe from another level E with the body of her rifle. Her eyes widened; its strength was immense, and without the in-depth close combat training, she wouldn't have been able to use its strength against it, sliding out from under it and stabbing it in the back with the bayonet. She discharged the bullet into its body, and grimaced as it disintegrated on the rifle. But that was a third vampire.
"What in the world..?"
There was no time to ponder the inaccuracy of her sensei's information, however. Tsukuumo mechanically loaded another bullet and fired at another vampire that came speeding down the steps of the town hall, catching it in one of its legs. It let out a loud snarl, feral and gutteral, causing the hackles to come up on Tsukuumo's neck. It did not seem to care that one of its legs were maimed as it limped forward with astonishing speed at Demi.
The level E was probably a soldier in its former life; no matter how many times it was maimed, it sprang back with a disgusting claim at life, and only a bullet through its forehead, in combination with an expertly-aimed slash at its neck, fell it for the last time. Tsukuumo looked at Demi, a relieved smile forming on her face.
All she heard was Demi's surprised shout and a sickening sound of skin being ripped open. The next second, she was on the ground, winded for a moment, and wondering what was going on. Propping herself up on her arms, she looked around. There was nothing, save for a figure lying motionless on the ground not far from her.
Tsukuumo blinked. Was this reality? The body looked suspiciously like a certain boy she had known for the past several years, a person she associated with the inhuman quality of invincibility.
She was jolted back to reality when Demi entered her field of vision, scrambling to Lye's body. It was then that she realized this was, indeed, reality, and something very serious had happened. She pulled herself up, ignoring her aching muscles, and ran to her friend's side.
"Lysander, wake up! Wake up!" Demi cried. Tsukuumo just stared in mute horror. There was so much red, so much blood seeping out from Lye's face.. all because of her.
"Lye, wake up please.. I'm sorry I was annoying!" Tsukuumo wailed, falling to her knees beside his body. Her hands scrambled over his jacket, trying to find a wound that might have caused his unconsciousness. Finding nothing, she just fell apart, crying as she sprawled over her friend's body.
It was Demi that pulled himself back together in time, gently nudging Tsukuumo and telling her to bring Kogane-sensei. It would be difficult for the two of them to lift Lye's body over all the rubble and carry him back to the entrance of the town. She didn't know how she made it back to the edge of town, but she was able to explain to Kogane-sensei what had happened -- with much blubbering and sniffling -- so that Lye could be taken in for medical treatment immediately.
If it was fate that had permitted this to happen, it was cruel. The first official mission had ended in tragedy, but had also created a bond between the three, which, as all bonds created in the thick of war are, was incredibly resilient, pliable, and everlasting.
"Whether it is the best of times or the worst of times, it is the only time we have." Cross Academy is meant to be the final test on Tsukuumo's path to becoming a full-fledged hunter. Although she is due soon to graduate, Kogane-sensei deemed that on-site education in conjunction with unexpected occurrences that may need her attention will be extremely helpful to her education. Furthermore, although she has a deep dislike for vampires, more contact with the more 'sane' ones would be necessary if she were to someday progress higher up the ranks of the Hunter's Association, which both sides of her family is expecting. This will truly be an invaluable experience to her.
Family and Other Important People: Iroazayaka Asato and Iroazakaya Meyane: Tsukuumo's loving parents, or so she likes to think. Young and aspiring Hunters without another worry--they had not wanted a second child, much less a girl-child -- they left their young daughter in the care of her grandparents until she was old enough to go into training, leaving for the United States on an extended assignment. Now, they have established themselves in Boston, but correspond primarily with Len rather than Tsukuumo. Tsukuumo misses them solely because she wants to see the people who gave birth to her. Beyond that, she does not feel much filial love towards them.
Iroazayaka Len: Tsukuumo's older brother by three years. Len has graduated from Tokyo University and is currently serving as one of the resident Hunters in Tokyo. As a young child, Len took care of Tsukuumo from behind the scenes, checking up on his younger sister at Kogane-sensei's residence, watching out for her on her practice Hunting outings. Often a teasing, mischievous brother, in truth, Len cares about Tsukuumo deeply, to the point where Len stood up his date for Tsukuumo's dance recital. Although too handsome as to look like a playboy, Len is the one who attended all parental Hunter Association meetings on behalf of their parents.
Awaikage Sei: A cousin on her mother's side. Aunt Miho died when she was a toddler, so Tsukuumo has little to no memories of her. She only learned about her cousin's existence through Len, who had met Sei while their parents were still in Japan. She has never met him.
Kogane Shin: Kogane Shin, known by many names by both the vampire and hunter societies, is Tsukuumo's teacher and mentor. He, along with her brother Len, serves as her parental figure. When she had first met Kogane-sensei, she had been frightened by his stoic demeanor; she had not known that this was characteristic of most Hunters, as she did not spend too much time with her parents. Although he is a male, he serves as Tsukuumo's confidante in all matters. Looking back at her years in Kogane-sensei's home, Tsukuumo now holds special respect for Kogane-sensei on his ability to raise a girl-child without the help of a wife. Kogane-sensei was the one who first suggested the rifle for Tsukuumo, and later helped acquire Tanominotsuna for her personal use.
Lye: {Lysander de Lemos} Lye is one of Tsukuumo's two best friends. She would gladly trust him with her life. When she had first met him, she had been a little awestruck at how he seemed to make everything look effortless. He was the closest thing she had to a peer role model, of sorts. Although he would often threaten her with horrible deaths and was incredibly solitary, she knew that he wouldn't actually do anything to her. Their relationship took a turn for the worse briefly after the first mission, when Lye sacrificed an eye for her safety. Tsukuumo has blamed herself for the injury since then and is always extra careful and attentive around him.
Demi: {Mikazuki Demetrius} Demi is also Tsukuumo's best friend. Having grown up together, Demi and she enjoy a very close relationship, not unlike the bonds of a brother and sister. He was the one who took care of her when she first arrived to train with Kogane-sensei, and warned her about Lye's erratic behavior. Tsukuumo often goes to him for emotional support; he is the only person who has seen Tsukuumo cry.
Items of Note: Tanominotsuna: {頼みの綱 - Last ray of hope} Tanominotsuna is a unique Vampire Hunter weapon from the Tachisabaki family. The weapon changes size according to the capabilities of its wielder, and has been known to vary in size greatly depending on who the family head was for each generation. It cannot be fired by those not of the Tachisabaki bloodline. The rifle was designed to be fired with specially formulated bullets, such as incendiary, anti-vampire, and poisonous. Because Tsukuumo is not a full-fledged hunter yet, she does not have access to the family's armory, and currently makes do with normal bullets and the occasional round of anti-vampire bullets. Furthermore, the Hunter's Association has put more restrictions on the type of bullets that may be used in the rifle, as it is prone to do much structural and environmental damage if used in an urban setting, which has become more common in the past few decades. Whereas her ancestors may have enjoyed creating fire and explosions from a simple rifle, Tsukuumo must make do with the traditional gear of a sniper. The number of explosive and incendiary bullets that can be carried at any given time are limited and must be approved with the Association before being used in combat. Because Tsukuumo's mother was the eldest offspring of the Tachisabaki clan, she would have inherited the weapon as a Hunter. However, two factors prevented this from happening: 1) Iroazayaka Meyane, unusually, did not choose the rifle as her weapon of choice--she preferred to use dual pistols instead; 2) Meyane married into another prominent Hunter clan, thus nullifying her claims to the family 'heirloom' (if it could be classified as such because of its novelty compared to other traditional Hunter weapons). However, once Tachisabaki Miho, the younger sister, perished due to unknown reasons, the Tachisabaki clan was devoid of any successors for the family heirloom. When Tsukuumo reached the age to begin training with a personal weapon, her mentor, Kogane Shin, boldly suggested the Tanominotsuna. Both clans--Tachisabaki and Iroazayaka--were in an uproar over this matter, and for good reason. It would be unacceptable to hand over the treasure of one family to another permanently. To put a long story short, eventually, Tsukuumo's grandparents (on the Tachisabaki side) wore down, and granted her full rights and possession to the valuable weapon.
Tsukuumo does have some trouble when carrying around a large rifle more than half the size of her body--strangely it did not adapt to her size, but as all Hunter weapons are, strange modifications make it much lighter than it should physically be. Furthermore, the rifle is usually carried in a long cylinder case that can be slung on a shoulder, just as if she were carrying an exercise mat.
Character Goals: Tsukuumo's primary goal is to become a hunter that Kogane-sensei would be proud of. She thus takes every mission very seriously now, and she will continue to be able to hunt with Lye and Demi, even when they are adults.
Powers, Abilities and Notable Skills: Tanominotsuna: {頼みの綱 - Last ray of hope} As a female sogekihe {狙撃兵} (sniper), Tsukuumo's weapon of choice is a long-range weapon. It is a modified rifle that is usually fired with two hands. Because Tsukuumo often collaborates with Demi and Lye when fulfilling their Hunter duties, she often does not need to get within close range of her targets. She tends to use both hands to obtain a better aim and snipe escaping targets instead, or perform dangerous reconnaissance missions. However, upon her own insistence, she was also taught to be able to use the rifle with only one hand. Close combat is something that she would prefer to engage in free-handed (as she was taught the basics of hand to hand combat) but Tsukuumo is also talented with utilizing the rifle as a short staff to subdue enemies in close range. -Tsukuumo enjoys slightly enhanced physical abilities in accordance with the Pure Hunter blood flowing in her body.
Odoriko: {踊り子 - Dancer} Apart from her main occupation as a Hunter, Tsukuumo also enjoys dancing. Every spare minute that she finds, she squeezes in dance practice--alone, of course!
RP Sample: 'Some say the world will end in fire...' One, two, and three, and the Hunter was in her position. There was no bright moon to show her position, no wind to sigh her movements. The sky was wonderfully cloudy, a rumble here and there ominously threatening a mean storm. Most residents of the town weren't abed yet -- the night had just started, the candles just lit, the dinner tables just set. How would her partners handle a Hunt during such a populated time? They really should have let her handle this alone, she thought with some arrogance. 'Some say in ice...' Just two bullets were loaded into the rifle, each marked with a special signet indicating their maker and power. Her peachy lips smiled in anticipation as she awaited the promised time. It wasn't long. The town clock marked the seventh hour, beginning to ring its bells, resonating deep in the cold night air. She lifted her rifle to her shoulders and got into position, carefully aiming at the corner of the opposite building. Sure enough, a familiar silver-haired figure walked into view, grinning smugly. Tsukuumo raised an eyebrow, frowning. That grin surely meant that he and Lye had cleaned up everything before she could even warm up. How decidedly ungentlemanly of them. 'From what I've tasted of desire...' But the Hunt wasn't over yet! Her Hunter senses prickled and she could sense a vampire heading this way, moving as quickly as it could. She did not question why it was; she simply reveled in the opportunity to prove herself once more. She saw Demi get into position, and impatiently clucked her tongue. The cool air carried the sound down to ground level rather quickly, and Demi immediately relaxed slightly. As the vampire rounded the corner, heading straight for the obvious target, Tsukuumo fired. The sky groaned, aptly covering the soft crackle of her unmuffled rifle. The bullet hit the level E in its right chest. The creature looked up and snickered at her, assuming that she had missed, like a typical green trainee. 'I hold with those who favor fire...' The bullet exploded, taking out a chunk of the vampire's flesh and setting it on fire. Tsukuumo smiled. She never missed. The still-ringing bells of the town's church muffled the agonized shrieks of the creature. Demi circled it wearily, thinking it had gone down, but as quick as a flash, it attempted to kick Demi in the stomach. He took a step back and batted the leg out of the way with a claw. The vampire's speed had woefully decreased, thanks to the grievous injury it had received. Tsukuumo frowned, however. She hated hardy vampires. 'But if it had to perish twice...' She raised her rifle to her shoulders and aimed again. The vile creature would not have another leg to stand on, once she was through with him. 'I think I know enough of hate...' Hardy vampires reminded her of that day. The day Lye had to lose half his world because of her own inadequecy. Yes. This vampire wouldn't survive. She let out her breath in a steady stream and pulled the trigger. 'To know that for destruction ice...' The bullet silently sped through the air and punched through the vampire's heart, lodging itself deep within. Moments later, it exploded into countless pieces of metal, spreading the fatal silver throughout the body utilizing the body's own mechanisms. It was a particularly cruel type of bullet, one that Tsukuumo rarely used unless provoked. Kogane-sensei would probably make her write a report on the absolute necessity of the bullet in this situation; he did not like her using unnecessary methods of violence. But nothing mattered right now, except the task of eliminating the public menace. 'Is also great...' Tsukuumo smiled from her perch. The vampire faltered, letting out a surprised choke. Demi didn't let his guard down. It wasn't necessary. Within another heartbeat, the vampire had disintegrated. 'And would suffice...' Tsukuumo cooly finished. There was nothing quite like the exhilaration experienced after a successful Hunt. Was this why her parents had left overpopulated Japan for the wide expanse of the Americas?
