This is a legend from long ago. In a small mountain town a lone wolf with fur as bright as snow patrolled the nearby town. This wolf was an oddity it would sit on a large rock and watch over the town. A local swordsman by the name of Nagi would challange this wolf to a duel almost everyday though mearly a wolf the proud warrior often found himself limping away from combat with it he was determined to defeat it one day. It silently guarded the town for an entire year until the festival of the full moon began. Once a time of peace and celebration it was now a time of horror... Every year a white arrow would pierce the home of a maiden to be sacrificed to a 8 headed serpent named Orochi. Orochi's power was so great his very presence was enough to make a common man go crazy. This year the arrow struck the home of Nami the most beautiful maiden in the village. Nagi whom had a secert love for Nami went in her place digusing himself as a maiden to Orochi's sinister lair. There he confronted him in combat his battles with the wolf had honed his skills. But it was not enough though his body was strong and his will unyielding he couldn't harm the beast it's scales were like steel and his blows did little to harm it. Then the wolf appeared and defended the hero. Such a missmatch it seemed at first but the nature was on the beasts side. When Orochi moved in to strike massive trees sprang up to block it's path. When it blew mighty flames a gust of wind blew it away. Late on into the moonless night they fought the wolf's white fur soaked crimson from the demon's blood. When all seemed lost it let out a mighty howl and the moon appeared. Nagi his sword charged with energy used it to fell the beast at long last one head at a time. The wolf collasped from it's injuries and Nagi carried it home. The villagers gathered around the brave wolf as it's life began to leave it they all saw an amazing sight. Beautiful markings covered it's body and a brilliant mirror surrounded with holy flames appeared. They realized this wolf was in fact a god and with it's passing they built a shrine to immortalize it a powerful brave wolf to watch over the town forever more. 100 years have passed since that day... give or take a few months. A man wondered into the remains of Orochi's lair the moon cave and up to a shrine. ????: Ah this is the legendary sword that was used to destory Orochi 100 years ago! *looks it over* It doesn't look all that special. *grabs the hilt of the sword and pulls it free breaking the seals on it.* Heh just as I thought just a sword. Suddenly a blast of dark energy rose out of the shrine and the shadow of Orochi surrounded the unknown man. Orochi: At last I am free! you who have freed me utter the prayer "I wish darkness upon the world!" Say that prayer and I will give you all the power you could ever want! The man grabbed his head in pain. ????: W-what's going on!? *he yelps and runs away as Orochi breaths fire at him as his darkness blasts out and covers the land.* Meanwhile in Kamiki Village that same mountain town from the story I was telling you about. We appear before the statue dedicated to the god that saved them but it's legacy has long since forgotten by almost all. Orochi's power had reached the town but the guardian spirit of the town Sakuya had kept them all save but the dark storm raging was to much for her she needed help. Sakuya Spirit of Konohana: This is no good I can't do this on my own. *she looks at the statue* My lord I need your assistance again but I don't have the strength to revive you. *she focuses her energy* I must summon forth another that can help you recover your power. I only pray that they will heed my call for all is lost. Edited by Anthony, Oct 20 2012, 03:12 PM.

Chapter 1 the summoning Murray, Utah USA 2012 ????: *Walks into antic store* Provaior of oddities Mr. Tomato: Ah welcome young man. Curious Youth Anthony: Oh hello there I'm looking for something I can hang up in my room. Mr. Tomato: Let me help you out then I might have just the thing. *he digs out a dusty box and pulls out a scroll and give it to Anthony.* Go ahead unroll it. Anthony: Uh... okay. *he grabs the scroll and it glows softly he unrolls it and the light engulfs him he looks around and finds himself before Sakuya.* What the!? Sakuya: *She pants* I... it worked thank goodness. Anthony: Who are you!? Sakuya: N-no time the cave... Okami... *She fades away in a burst of flower pedals* Anthony: Okami? The hell is that? *he looks around and see's a glowing hole in the large tree nearby shivering from the intense storm he goes inside for safety.* He did a double take once he was inside the tree was gone and he was on a starry hill with a clear sky overhead and a stream nearby. Sitting down on a hill Anthony pounders his predicament how in the world did this happen? The last he remembered was he unrolled a scroll in Mr Tomato's shop and then he found himself in front of a large tree in the middle of a terrible storm with a girl in a kimono looking at him then she faded away. Speaking of scrolls... Anthony: *pulls out the scroll and looks it over there was nothing special about it but he felt it was important so he put it away again and started to look around.* The starry hill had a calming... almost majestic feeling to it like he was somewhere very special. He soon came across a large cliff face and it was the only way forward. Anthony: How am I going to climb this? as he looked for something he could use as a foot hold the scroll fell out of his pocket and he picked it up. Anthony: Dang this thing is slippery. He studied it again and noticed that the scroll had changed there was a picture of the rock face as he compared the two a small brush fell out of a hollow and he picked it up a small compartment opened up revealing a tiny bottle of ink. Anthony: Silver handle neat. Looking back and forth between the two he dipped the brush in the ink and dabbed a few spots on the scroll to make some hand holds he heard a popping noise and saw there were now hand holds on the rock wall. Anthony: Trippy... *he puts the scroll away and climbs up the rock wall and continues on.* The next area was a tall mountain overlooking a sea of clouds below there wasn't much save for a statue and a small puddle of water far in the distance was another gate way but how would he get to it?* Just can't make this easy can they? He moves up to a road marker and reads it. Anthony: The Celestial Sea... *he looks at the puddle* what this? *he dips his hand in the water and gets a surprise it wasn't water it was... something else.* What is this stuff? Something glows behind him and he turns around there was a constaltion in the sky. He moved up to the hill it was on and looked it over. Anthony: Some stars are missing... *he pulled out the scroll and dabbed the spots where the stars were missing nothing happened* Dang guess my eyes were playing tricks on me last time. *As he turned to leave he heard something moving the statue of a dragon that was before him slide back revealing a large bronze mirror he picked it up and he heard a faint voice. ????: Okami... statue... hurry... The voice faded. Anthony: Statue? *he looked at the dragon statue all it's hands were full but then he remembered something.* I saw a wolf statue outside this must go there if I put this shield back maybe I can find a key or something. *he rushes back outside.* Edited by Anthony, Oct 21 2012, 02:12 PM.
