Who I am is not important who I found however... is everything. But if you must know something about me know this. I am 22 years old I live in my grandparents house which was left to me in their will and I have a steady job as a working at game stop the best gig ever. The story begins much like any other. It was the final week of winter a light snow storm was blanketing my area it won't last very long a few hours or so but it was thick. I like to call this kind of storm Winter's last shot. Tilting my hat to keep the snow out I followed the same path I walk every day. While my job was almost a mile away I oftened walked home I had a perfectly good car but have you seen the gas prices? Still on this day I thank my lucky stars I was trying to save some cash by walking. Me: *whistling as I walked across a long bridge on the highway.* As I walked whistling a tune I had often considered writing down or recording I heard the sound of something shuffling about. Stopping for a moment I waited thinking maybe there was someone behind me I turned around nothing was there. So I started walking when I heard it again a bit louder this time. It was then I noticed a cardboard box covered in plastic with the lid closed. Curious I opened it gently and jumped a little. Staring up at me with big Velvet eyes was a tiny baby pony. It had a bizzare color scheme it had a blue flank a rainbow colored mane and tiny little wings as it looked up at me curiously. Me: Hmm... *I dug into the bag I was bringing home from the store and pulled out a game I was getting for my niece* On the box was more of these ponies what coraliation did this little pony and my niece's present have in common? As I thought I noticed the poor thing shivering the box while drafty was much warmer with the lid closed so I did so and started to walk away but I heard it rustle again and pop open the tiny pony was yipping at least it sounded to me and raised its hooves to me tearing up. Apprently it wanted to come with me I wasn't about to carry a soggy box all the way home so... Me: *returns to the box and looks down at the pony it's eyes wide pleading with me as snow gently landed on it's head. I took my hat off and placed it on it's head then scooped it up and zipped it into my jacket for the half mile walk home.* I can't help it normally I'd never do things like this but I'm not cruel either. And thus began an adventure I'll never for get. Edited by Anthony, Oct 1 2012, 01:06 AM.

Chapter 1 Home I brought the pony home wondering to myself just what am I going to do with her I had no idea how to raise a baby let alone a pony baby or foal as it's called. I set her down on the couch gently she shook her head and my hat rotated around backwards so she could see out of the hole in the back of it used to adjust it's size. It covered her entire head and most of her face it was helmet more then anything. I knew that she was freezing so I wrapped her up in my jacket she looked nervous but calmed down as she started to warm up. I was then I looked at my niece's game agian. Pony land adventure... Unorginal title but maybe... Me: Sorry sweetie but this is more important. *Unwraps the plastic around the game and pops it open pulling out the manual.* Lets see... Though a manual for a child's game it was filled to the brim with info on horses I thumbed through the manual until I reached the types of ponies. Apprently there were 4 kinds of horses. Earth or normal horses like those around here. Unicorns Pegasus which I assumed this little one was and Alicorns which had wings and a horn. So a pegasus that meant she could fly? I needed more info so making sure she safe in my jacket. (By now she had curled up and was taking a nap.) I popped the game in and started to play. In it I was given a choice of being one of the 3 basic types of horses. (Apprently you need to beat the game to become an Alicorn.) I chose a Pegasus so I could hopefully get an idea of how to take care of this little one. After playing around with the options a little I finalized my character. Me: Okay... *pats the ponies head gently* Lets see what this is about. The setting was outside a nursery where a red pegasus was waiting I moved up and talked to her. Game: Input your dialog here. So I picked what I wanted to say huh? That's pretty advanced. I started typing and talking on screen. Me: Um... hello? red Pegasus: *nervous* Oh hello I'm Lullaby the caretaker did you happen to see a missing filly? Me: Filly? Lullaby: Yes a baby girl pegasus she wondered off and I can't find her anywhere? Me: *I looked the pony over and could tell yep it was a girl.* Filly huh... what was her name? Lullaby: I wasn't here when her parents left so I'm not sure but she's blue with a rainbow mane. Me: *quiet for a moment* You don't say... well I'll keep an eye out. After that I shut off the game. Can it be true? Can this little filly on my couch be from a Video game? It was then she woke up and looked at me she was nervous but I held my hand out she sniffed it then liked it gently accepting that I wasn't a threat. Me: Maybe I can make this work. The sound of my voice spooked her and she scampered off hiding under my couch which had about a 6 inch clearance off the ground that was there to help my grandparents get up off it when they were alive. Me: Hmm this is going to take some work. I waited for awhile and she poked her head out from under the couch. She reminded me of a little dog I had once Bender always diving under the couch at when he didn't want to be bothered. I showed her my hands again and she sniffed them looked up at me but didn't cower she learned quick it seems. I gently picked her up and carried her over to the counter to give her a once over. Nothing broken as far as I could tell I did however towel off her wet mane and she sneezed. Me: Now then little one... what should I call you? As I thought of a name I watched her test her hoof on the counter it was slippery and she liked that she ran across the counter and slide across the smooth surface until she over shot it and fell off I caught her and smiled. Me: Dashie. I'll call you Dashie that's your name. Dashie: *looked up at me with her dazzling eyes and I saw her first smile. I knew then I wasn't going to be rid of her for quite some time. Now then the question was how was I going to care for her? I wanted to use the game again but I realized that it wasn't mine it was for my niece I didn't want to steal her present and I can still re-shrink wrap it at work so I put it away but flipped through the manual again. Seems fruits hay and even old fashion cow milk was all she needed right now I'd worry about the details later. I got up and checked my fridge being a bacholer of computer science cooking wasn't really my fortiet so I only had instant meals and left overs that could kill human babies clearly I needed to do some shopping but I couldn't take her with me and I doubt she'd stay put either. Me: Ah man... I am just not ready to have a pet. That's when I remembered the hot house. My grandma loved working in the old hot house and I went out and tended it now and then. Me: Wait here Dashie. She blinked at me and held her hooves up for me. Needy little thing but can I really blame her? So I scooped her up and we checked out the hot house. I heard her gasp softly and she scrambled out of my coat and ran around inside so she can walk well on her own guess she wasn't a newborn at least that was helpful but she was wearing a diaper so I'd have to figure that out.
