Well first off, your characters will all be placed in the same topic, known as your character thread. This keeps things organized, please include your name in its title.

Next off, let's clear something up. Until further notice, Rune will not be described in further detail, officially. Oh, and don't make all your characters Runesingers, please. Make sure you have (and use) at least one normal human character if you have multiple Runesingers.

I'll give you a tip for reading this. Read my posts and I may let slip a few rather useful and important facts, especially the OOC posts.

Third, don't use your character before it's approved, we'll warn you once, twice, and then send you a copy and mark the character as Restricted, meaning you won't be able to use it anymore. Point being, wait for it to be approved. Just be patient, answer questions, and ask your own if you need to.

Now, the most important part. That's right! The character sheet, itself. Fill out the fields, (they tell you what's expected from each), post it in your Character Thread, and wait for it to be approved. We'll PM you if something's wrong with it, and expect you to notify us once whatever it is is fixed. It looks intimidating, I know, but that's just the notes (that you'd do good to read.)

Fourth, feel free to make NPC (either when you're the topic starter or have permission). The difference between an NPC and PC is that an NPC is only a temporary character. Most NPC aren't even named. Only an administrator can make an NPC Runesinger; but Topic Starters can make one with permission.

Name- Name it. First name last name, any name is fine so long as it matches up with your family tree. (Don't have someone name John Motusawa, or other such blatant ethnic mixing.)

Age- Any age you want. Just be aware Rune users can't be older than twenty-three, and make sure you know how to use the character realistically if you want it. Meaning, don't have super-genius toddlers or some other nonsense.

Rune- Just put No if you don't have a Rune. If you do, there's a system to defining Rune. Its power will always be a verb. It may have other definitions as well, but never expect it to be all powerful. Using Rune takes intense practice and concentration, and takes a lot out of you. Furthermore, every time you use Rune to accomplish something, something else is paid in return. For example, you could use Restore to resurrect someone or something, but depending on what it is, it could very well kill you to do so. If not, it will fatigue you to some degree. Or you could use Create to make a bow, and something will be destroyed in return. Rune's a double-edged sword, and one has to be careful when experimenting with it.

Know your limits, character deaths do happen unless you prevent them. I'm not going to miraculously bring you back to life if you cut your own head off. However, I may or may not make some sort of 'miracle object' that can bring back the dead, but you need another character to collect it and use it to bring yourself back.I knew Beethoven. There's no time-limit. Just hope they bother to dig you out of your grave before bringing you back, heh. Oh yeah, try and be inventive when not using a Rune selected from the Archive..

Class- If you have Rune put Runesinger. If you don't, this takes place in a pseudo 'swords and arrows' environment, so anything that would fit that bill is game. Such as Smith, Guardsmen, Footsoldier, Hunter, etc. Absolutely no Non-Rune 'Magic' wielders. Medicines and poultices are fine, so long as they're not miraculous (unless I approve them or say that a certain ingredient has that effect). This means no wizards, magi, witches, etc.

Weapon- Optional.

Family- Any family? Are they alive or did someone stick an arrow in their head?

Height- Nothing too unrealistic. I'll allow you a rare height, but don't make a legion of 7'7" giants, you know? Put some variety in, and no you can't have anything over 7'1".

Build- Simple. Are they lean, are they bony, are they buff, or are they scrawny? Basically just describe their overall body build. Are they fat or skinny? Muscular or scrawny? Beautiful or Ugly? Just don't make perfect characters.

Skin Tone- Speaks for itself.

Hair Color- Any REAL hair color. There is nor hair dye, so only natural colors 'brown, blond, black' are allowed. If you can somehow prove that you picked a natural color, then go ahead. So long as it can occur naturally, is what I'm saying.
Hair Style (Optional):

Eye Color- Same as hair. As long as it does actually occur naturally, or has a reasonable explanation. No, that I won't accept "He's a vampire." And if you do have red eyes/pink, I expect you to have the proper medical condition, meaning everything else will need to match up. Heterochromia and Albinism are two conditions that effect the eyes, though Albinism can effect the hair/skin as well.

Attire- What do they wear? Optional.

Personality- Just give me a simple, one paragraph run-down on your character's personality. You can write more, if you really want.

Bio- Give me a paragraph on their life before present point.

Phrase- Phrase, give me the hidden phrases to prove you actually read the notes, rules, and other some such before applying. There will be three total; They are located in the Plot, Rules, and this thread.
