Kevin brought this up this evening and it's an idea I fully endorse. We should get a Minecraft server for the group. Is this doable in some form? |

It's been said several times, but I haven't seen anything on what needs to be done to actually get one. If it's a rental server, I've done that before. Just haven't gone anywhere near Minecraft so I wouldn't know where to start. |

I'll ask my sister about it. She's getting a server for her birthday. |

The 360 already got Minecraft but playing Minecraft on a console is like playing anything Valve has ever made on a console. |

The 360 version is vastly inferior to the PC version, I'll tell you that right now. I don't think it's been updated since release, even Mojang said they didn't plan to do much with it. I know a lot about Minecraft, but most of that is on the gameplay side. It's addictive as fuck, you'll get hooked, I promise. As far as servers go, we don't need much, it wouldn't be public, and I doubt there'd ever be more than 4 people on it at a time. I don't think we'd have to worry about griefing, either. There are a few choice plugins that would really add to the quality of play. mcmmo is one I highly recommend, it adds Elder Scrolls-style skills to the game which you can level up. |

Well, it's like I mentioned. Playing a console version of a game that was originally developed for PC is unforgivable. Like I said, doing that to Minecraft is like doing the same thing to Half-Life. It goes against logic and reason. |
