![]() Phantasy Star Blue Burst One of the most beautiful things to ever come out of SEGA and the Sonic Team, Phantasy Star Online was an online RPG that spanned across the PC, GameCube, Dreamcast and Mex-Box. And just like any other online RPG, once the official servers closed down, dozens of private ones opened up~. Above is the link for the current private server I'm on, one of the few that still has active life in it. Phantasy Star Blue Burst follows the gameplay as PSO Episodes 1 & 2, and even includes Episode 4 on the servers. Item rates are relatively the same, although rare monster sightings (and their respective high drops) are a lot more common than the GameCube version. Registering for this server is easy aaaaand confusing at the same time. 1) Go to the above link. (www.blueburstserv.com) 2) Click on the 'Register' button at the top of the page. (Clicking the other Register icon will take you to the forum registration, not the game server. 3) Follow the directions on that really white, blank looking page. Do not use capital letters in your username or password and everything should go fine. 4) Download the installer. (Roughly 341 Mb if I remember correctly) 5) Install~♪ 6) First time opening the program, just let it run the patcher. After it completes the patch- which took only about two minutes- the window should close. 7) Open it again. You should now have the latest version. If you want, you can click 'options' on the splash screen to open up the menu where you can save your password and change video and audio settings. 8) On the main menu of the game, select 'Register ID'. Type in your username and password. 9) Hit Start Game. 10) ????? 11) PROFIT! ![]() Free floating chairs abound! It's not too hard to start off, and the server players are both friendly and oddly literate. Elitism is at an all time low here, so you can choose your class and weapons how you want to~ Unlike PSO Ep 1 and 2, Blue Burst places a little more emphasis on teamwork. Enemies have slight increases in health and attack power, but likewise, healing items drop more often. Also, you don't need to unlock later stages or harder difficulties- they are already unlocked when you start. (However, level limits still apply, so you won't be hitting Hard Mode until you're level twenty- which might take about two hours if you know where to go.) It's an all around good server that has proven to be fun so far. ![]() Oh s▓▓▓ oh s▓▓▓ oh s▓▓▓ If anyone is interested, post here! They have what they call a 'Team' function, which I've noticed is just the same thing as a Guild. I'd like to resurrect an old name Matt should be familiar, and vote that our Guild be called Star-Crash Brigade. o wo (Is that hyphenated, by the way?) |

I need to make sure this isn't the same PSO that I was somehow banned on years ago... If not, I'll be happy to join in as a Hunter or Gunner... |

You can select any ship. Usually I go with the one that has the most players. You can always switch ships from the lobby. Also, there's talk of them getting a server up for PSO C.A.R.D. going. o wo I have my hopes~ |

F- yes. We need to start owning Falz again. Has anyone noticed if you're able to move about on your own, or must all players be in the same zone like in the GC version? If we can split, we'll own the island in under 15 min. |
